THE MEAN CITY STREETS
Tuesday, October 21, 2008
I used to wonder every time I pass by a dead animal in the ID. Reason being is because I wouldn't see full bodies like in the 'burbs, but I would only see parts.
A wing here. A torso there.
Today I saw two wings and a tail section of a pigeon as I was walking to Pioneer Square. I also saw a claw and something that looked like a cross between a squished squirrel and a bird.
And that was when it hit me: other street animals eat dead street animals. I've seen it all, seagulls eating rats. Rats eating pigeons. Darwinism at its finest.
Sorry to those who just ate, but that's all I really wanted to say today. Fun times in the city
