Gingerbread Man

I'll run and run as fast as I can
You can't catch me
I'm the gingerbread man

From my last library trip, I got a couple of Christmas books. I'm glad I did because I think I know what Christmas is now. I mean I hear Mums and Pops say it a lot lately and I really thought it was just another word.

Christmas.
Christmas is a tree.
Christmas is colorful balls thingy.
Christmas is lights around the house.

But after reading my new borrowed books, Christmas is new things. Like sitting on Santa's lap, being a good boy, gingerbread cookies, going to Sun Dyago and presents. Presents!

Like today.  Pops got me a special surprise today.

My very first gingerbread man! It looks pretty snazzy and just like the one in my book...two hands, two feet, the face, the buttons...but...it taste yucky-yuks. I took one bite and patooey. I don't understand why all those animals wanted to catch it if it tastes like this. And where was the fox? The fox should take my gingerbread man away.

Chugga-Chugga, Choo-Choo

Tootles, go to sleep now, and tomorrow when you wake up, we'll go see Thom.as and Sir*Topham*Hat.

Of course I'll see him, silly. I see him every day when I play my DVD.

****~~~~****

I wake-up, and my clothes bag is packed, there's snacks in the cooler, and Mums has my Thom.as shirt ready for me to wear. Again, Mums and Pops tell me I'm going to see Thom.as today.

Okay, I'm going to see Thom.as today...duh. Every time they ask me where I'm going, I just say I'm gonna see Thom.as today but I'm still not really understanding. What's the big deal? I said, I see him when I play my DVD!

Mums, Pops, Ninong Bhoy and Ading Sissy go on this really REALLY long car ride. Well, for me it felt like a long time. For some reason, this whole seeing Thom.as thing stayed in my head and I couldn't take a nappie nap in the car. I usually do when it's a long car ride. I just watched the things outside as we zoomed by - cars, trucks, trees, houses. Then the road got swirvy and there were trees everywhere! Then boom! I saw it....

I'm going to see Thom.as!!!!!!!!!

There was Thom.as everywhere you looked! This way. That way. Over there. Over here. Thom.as, Thom.as, Thom.as!

It was hard to follow Mums and Pops during our walk. I couldn't help but stop every where and just look at things. As we got closer to all the other people, I hear it...the sounds I hear on my DVD's...

Choo-Choo

I saw him. He was blue just like I imagined and he had the same smile I see when I watch him on tv. I started jumping and dancing and singing my Thom.as songs. I see Thom.as! Just like Mums and Pops said. And then Kuya Diego and Smiley came over to watch Thom.as with me.

Auntie Army even bought me a cool hat to go with my snazzy outfit. I am so super-duper ready to ride Thom.as now.

It was so cool. The bestest time ever! I rode on Thom.as and he took me and all my friends around the Island of Sodor. There were more trees, water and even people waving at me. Oh, I was so happy! I hugged Mums and Pops and gave them sweet kisses for making me so happy today.

Then after our ride, Pops brought me to say hello. But I couldn't touch him because he gets hot when he works. Oh, you should've seen me...I posed my heart out for Mums so I can have the bestest picture with Thom.as.

It was a happy day for me. And a happy day for all the other kiddies there too!

GO! Go! Go!

Pops took me to my first baseball game here in Sisco. I went to one in Sun Dyago, but played at the park mostly. Tonight, I got to see it all! It was like watching it on t.v., except there were so many other people around. A lot of orange people, really. I couldn't stop looking all around me. So many things going on - people talking, kids running, things dropping, lights flashing, music playing - I didn't know where to keep my eyes on! All I knew was to stay close to Pops or Ninong Bhoy.

Mums gave me a piece of paper to keep in my pocket just in case I couldn't find Pops. She said if I couldn't find Pops, I had to give the paper to the policeman so they could help me. So I know I was safe. But still...I stay with Pops.

The game too had a lot of things going on.
They clapped. I clapped.
They yelled. I yelled...even if I couldn't understand a single word of what they were yelling.
They spit. I spit...but it ended up on my chin. I still need to perfect the whole spitting thing.
They hit the ball. I hit the ball...at least I pretended to with my arm.

So fun! So, so fun!!! Pops showed me the play area, but I really didn't want to play or slide. I just wanted to watch baseball. It was our seats - row 4. So close! I didn't really stay in my seat though because I couldn't really see the grass and players. Pops carried me most of the time, or I sat on Ninong Bhoy's shoulders - his parrot is what he calls me.

Whatever special thing Pops wanted to happen didn't happen tonight. I'm sorta glad because now Pops says he'll take me to another game soon to see this special thing happen. Maybe Mums and Ading Sissy will come this time.

expo was a BO-BO

Mums got me pretty excited by telling me we were going to the Anim@l Pl@net Expo. All these animals started to pop up in my head that I planned on seeing - all the animals I see on the show...

...turtles, alligators, snakes, elephants, penguins, bugs... even dinosaurs.

Pops drove, I saw, and plzzzzzzt! Nothing. I saw none of the animals I wanted to see. Just a bunch of doggies and kitties. But I see them at Pets.Mart. It was hot, it was windy and all this grassy stuff kept flying in my eyes, and there were no turtles!

So I told this man I keep seeing on t.v. that I wanted to see turtles.

He was very understanding and talked about the ocean with me. He seemed to know about turtles and dolphins when I mentioned it. Then he shook my hand and gave me picture. Cool guy.

Here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty

Mums is having a guy fix our backyard so I can actually play in it. Right now it's like a jungle out there. Nay and Tay sorta just threw plants all around it not thinking ahead. At least that's what Mums tells me. The guy is going to put grass so I can play golf, kick my ball or even put a swimming pool when it gets really hot.

This morning while the guy was taking out some of the plants, he heard this noise. Not a bad noise, but just a noise. A meow noise. It was a teeny tiny kitty. Poor kitty had no brothers and sisters and not even a mommy. He gave the kitty to Mums to make sure it would be safe.

I've seen kitties running around or even on the tube, but never one this itty-bitty and in a box. Mums called the ABC S*P*C*A to help the kitty. It was so toot cute! I wanted to touch it, but I was scared. I just held the box.

It didn't take long for the ABC people to come. When the man looked at it, he said the kitty didn't look very well and had a blind right eye. I don't know what blind means, but it didn't sound good. Hopefully kitty will feel better and find a new mommy and daddy.

Another year for Boom-Boom!

Today was a big day for the family. Mums been planning for everyone to get together for a long time. LaLa, Dadd, Ninong Dookie D, Gaga, and Tito came all the way from Sun Dyago for this day too.

Picnic!

It wasn't the same spot as last year, but this time there was a play area. One for the big kiddos, and another for us wee kiddos. I didn't play on it until later because it was too hot. I waited until way-waaaaay later to play on it.

Before we left for the picnic I wasn't feeling all too well. I spiked a fever again - lately my fever's been on and off. This time I was reading a 102.4. Mums just gave me yummy in my tummy orange flavor stuff and said I would feel better because of it. Because it was super-duper hot out, I just stayed in the shade where it was cooler. LaLa brought me a tent.

I did feel better later on. But I was a tad bit of a grumpy-grumps because I forgot a nap. We didn't stay to watch the Booms like last year. When we got home, I fell asleep early and would hear all the booms from outside.

Happy Boom-Boom Day everyone!
