Ok Weekender has finally gone out. I have a couple of reviews on a couple of venues. Let me start w/ Bambuddah Lounge, formerly known as Backflip. It hasn't changed location. Still located on Eddy and Taylor I believe. Awsome and I had checked it out on a Friday night for a girlfriend's b-day. It's still free before 10pm, but of course we got there after 10pm so it's a $10 cover. No dress code I don't believe, cause I had friends up in jeans and tennis shoes. Low maintenance! NICE!

But of course, your here to be seen, so peeps were all spiffy. Nice collared-sleeved shirts w/ nice pants and shiny Kenneth Cole shoes. You've got the guys in their peasant shirts, opened 3 buttons down and their wannabe Gucci sunglasses, barely tinted. While the women, struttin in their genie pants with the 6 inch stilettos. And I will tell you right now my shoes are no higher than 4 inches. hahahhahaha

The ambiance has taken on somewhat a turn for the better. Remember the outside patio w/ the pool, well now it consists of patio couches w/ throw pillows and low coffee tables, giving it that "I Dream of Jeanie" kinda of feel. I guess that's what they're tryin to accomplish huh? Southeast Asian feel. You've got dim red lights, w/ those paper shades surroundin them to give you a softer feel, and a warm fire place goin w/ these iron chairs in front of it. Like it's not already hot in this place. That unfortunately has not changed. You've got two main bars goin, the one in the front hasn't changed, but now in the back against the left back wall is a long bar. They got rid of that mini bar in the middle which didn't help anybody tryin to smoosh gettin a drink. The music is still the same, changin from high-energy to R&B hip-hop. Unfortunately, there's no room to dance. You end up dancin where you're standing, you just can't be havin your hips move all over the place and your arms flarin wildly in the air, unless your goal is to get your ass kicked by the people right next to you. hahahhaha... Hopefully you guys get a chance to check it out and tell me what you think....
