Kinda funny how you hang out w/ peeps you barely hang out with and have the best time of your life.... Last Friday I hung out w/ That's Dumb and Down Unda at Cha Cha Cha's. I actually had to pick up Down Unda since she was on the way, and I kinda felt uncomfortable about it.. So I roll up to her house, wait outside and she strolls in to my car. To break the ice, I tell her how frickin in the cutts she lives in and what a trek of a hill she lives on.. As we drive towards Cha Cha Cha's in the Mission, why is there NO PARKING!!!! FRICKIN A !!!! I actually decide to go into that parking garage next door..and why the hell is it 10 BONES!!! OH HELL NO!!! IN THE MISSION!!! NOT! So i drive once more and find parkin 1/2 block away..SWEET!

We meet That's Dumb and there's a 40-50 minute wait...OF COURSE..IT'S FRIDAY!!! So we decide to chill at the bar...uuuuh no room..we keep walkin down and low and behold there's 3 seats at the bar stool over by the kitchen..GOOD SHIET!!! You can just sit and eat...NO WAIT!!! Man..you think I should have told you all this. Maybe I should have kept it a secret...Well I might as well share right?? So we plant our asses down and I sit in between... How funky is that??? To sit by Down Unda who doesn't like me very much....But as the night goes on...i'm havin a great time... Chit chattin w/ my girls and talkin BS like we always do.. Time passes and That's Dumb and myself frickin finished 2 small pitchers of sangria..Now why the hell didn't we just order the big pitcher... SO DUMB!!!

So you know the night isn't over just yet...it's only 9:00pm!!! The Beauty Bar!!! Right on the corner of 19th and Mission..Only a few steps from Cha Cha Cha's.. This joint is pretty quaint..You've got some dot commers, eccentrics, yuppies and rif raf's like us strollin in. As we get closer, I hear the music and it's all the OLD SKOOL SHIET!!! My kinda joint... and it's FREE!!! HELL YEAH!!! Down Unda said it's like this every Friday..NICE ... This place actually gives manicures. SERIOUSLY!! There's a chick who'll give you a manicure for 10 bucks and some of the seats are those blowdryers attached to a salon chair in here....SO FUNNY!!! What more can you ask for???

We're chillin in the front and one of those Camel Reps comes around offerin us cigarettes.. Where the hell was he earlier??/ We had gone to a store to buy some... Oh well.. We get 2 cans each for free..but of course the catch is to give him our mailin address.. Like I don't get enough junk mail as it is... It's time to roll out to Steff's Sports Bar on 2nd Street between Mission and Howard, where Down Unda's cousin works the bar...HINT HINT!!!! We get there and seems like there's a pretty good crowd..Not crowded..but hella dudes.. And of course Down Unda and That's Dumb get all the guys!!! I just pretty much sit back and watch guys tryin to pick up and spit game to my girls...it's HILARIOUS!

I had called Awsome earlier and him and his friends decided to meet up w/ us. They finally get there and the night's complete!!! It's so funny how there was this one character who was just buyin drinks left and right... And That's Dumb actually got a drink from him and passed over to Awesome... Sorry guys..no offense but I think when you buy a chick a drink..make sure SHE drinks it.... buahhahaha, and not her friends....lesson to be learned....

Have you ever wondered if there are still honest and considerate people out there? Have you ever lost something so valuable to you, and have it returned to you? What's the likely hood of that happening? Sometimes there's no value to the object, but there's an emotional attachment to the object.

Well today...was a funny day. I had gone to the gym over at 2nd and Folsom and they have a validated parking garage. I take my ticket, walk to the gym, check in and get it stamped. I get to the locker room and get all my gear together, stuff my bag in a locker and head for the cardio room. As I'm on the stairmaster listening to Ice Cube on my cd player, I start thinking if I locked my locker. I always do this to myself...always trippin if I have my keys, or if I locked my lock...etc.. I think I get it from my mom. Anyways...I think...yeah..i'm sure I did... So I finish my set and I head upstairs to do a little more cardio and then work on my abs on the bench. I sit and put my cd player on the floor, thinkin how one of my girls found one at the gym and snatched it.... I'm thinkin...man..peeps just don't have any consideration for other people's belongings. What if that cd player had some sentimental meaning to her?? I'm not saying that i'm a saint cause i've done some pretty bad shiet in my day too and if I was in my girl's situation..who knows..I probably would have snatched it too...

An hour passes and I'm finish workin out and I head back to the locker room. I noticed a parking garage ticket on the counter. I start thinkin..oh man..someone left there's...That sucks... Well I open my locker and start rufflin thru my gym bag...and frickin A...WHERE'S MY GARAGE TICKET!!!!! Oh shiet...is that my ticket on the counter??? I walk over to the counter..look at the time it was stamped- 18:41. That's about the time I got here.. NO SHIET...IT IS MINE!!! Although there's no value to the ticket, some chick could have just swiped it for herself so she wouldn't have to pay for the garage, or it could have just been thrown away by one of the janitors. I left the locker room w/ a smile on my face..there are still some honest/considerate people out there!!! That just made my night :-)

So one of my New Year's Resolutions was to try snow boardin!!!!! And I have finally tried the damn sport....ON MY ASS!!! hahahhaa

Let's start off with Friday night... I had gone to Avis to pick up an SUV for the weekend...THANKS AGAIN SQUEAK!!! Low and behold....we get a 2003 Explorer with only 1800 miles on it!!!! HELL YEAH BABY!!!! This thing is HUGE!!! What sucked for you future renters...Avis only allows 25 and older to be legal drivers of the rental...this meant in my ride that I was the ONLY LEGITIMATE DRIVER!!! ugh....I totally thought this was goin to suck..especially since I've NEVER DRIVEN IN THE SNOW!!!! Mind you...I've only seen snow ONCE and this was back in 1995!!!! Ok...so this meant for me.. first time drivin an SUV and first time drivin in SNOW!!! And friends weren't helpin me by sayin how whindy (is that how you spell it) 50 is...Oh yeah..by the way...we were stayin in South Lake Tahoe!!!

So we're finally off pickin peeps up and i'm gettin the feel for this ride... Oh man...I LOVE IT!!! I'm already thinkin of gettin an SUV for myself... I know i know...I always talk about what a waste it is to have one in the city unless you plan to go off-roadin or up to the snow a lot and how there is NO WHERE TO PARK these things... but damn...these trucks are NICE. I totally enjoyed driving this truck and since I had to drive EVERYWHERE.. the comfort of this ride totally helped...I didnt' mind drivin the whole trip!!!! It had leather seats, automatic driver seat and of course HEIGHT BABY!!!

Ok back to the story of Friday night....well the other truck caravannin w/ us was in front of us and we started noticin that the driver was swervin...OH MAN....being cautious I had pulled over and was their ride JACKED!!! They're engine check light has been on since they left San Mateo and it was totally RATTLIN!!! NOT: DO NOT RENT FROM E-Z RENTAL!!! These fools stated that the light is always on and they find nothin wrong with it...JACK SHIET!!! There is somethin definitely wrong... Anyways..the other driver had stated she was in the middle of the road to be SAFE!!!! Oooooooooooooook! That's the first i've ever heard that before.. So we get back on the road and immediately a frickin raccoon crossed my path and OOOOOOOOOOOOOH GOD!!! MY FIRST ROAD KILL!!!! I totally screamed, let off the gas and felt the "da dug da dug" under my feet!!! Oh man..I was dyin of laughter and sadness..I didn't know whether to laugh or cry over the whole situation...

Well it's 1am and we finally arrive in South Lake Tahoe...We finally find the house which is about 5 minutes from the casinos! And it's soooooooo cozy!!! There were 3 bedrooms , 2 baths, kitchen, fireplace, W/D... pretty cool!! So finaly time for bed cause we were drivin up to North Lake Tahoe to board at North Star... WHY COULDN'T I SLEEP!!!!! ugh...I only had 2 hours of sleep!!! One reason was that I had a grande triple hazelnut mocha in Davis to keep me up and secondly...my frickin brother HELLA SNORES!!!! OH HELL!!! I'm goin to be strugglin!!!

Welp we finally get ourselves together Saturday morning and leave almost 8:30am and it takes an hour to get to North Star, mind you we still gotta rent boards and gear. The road gettin to North Star is pretty dope!!! It was a beautiful morning, with snow on the hills and lookin down at the lake, it was a perfect crystal reflection of the mountains above...OH MAN!!! Too bad I was the driver...I couln't totally sightsee. We finally get to North Star to only find that the parking lot is full. So we had to drive back to Airport Road and park our rides there and take a bus up to the resort. At this point..I was getting pretty excited and anxious.

We get to the resort and our initial plan was to take lessons but the peeps we were with insisted that it was a waste of time and that they'd help us out.. No doubt they did help us out, but I pretty much was on my ass the whole time... As I got off the lift, my girl's board and mine crossed, causin me to fall and pretty much i toruqued my knee... I felt I strained my medial collateral ligament in my right knee... We rounded the corner and I finally sat down...and it took me DAYS to for me to bind in my left foot. Don't ask me why...it just did.. So now comes the hard part...STANDIN UP :( This is what I pretty much tried doing all day. Tryin to stand up onto my board and balance on the frickin thing! No doubt. this was totally frustratin. I would sit on the snow tryin to figure out different ways to get up on the board. There was a point where I was ponderin if my eyes were waterin due to frustration or because of how cold it was startin to get because I wasn't movin... Nevertheless, I did finally make it down the damn hill. But I think I had it for the day. I taken off the latch from my boot to my board and saw my board sailin away...OH SHIET!!!! NO ONE TOLD ME NOT TO DO THAT..Thank god the employee was pretty fast in catchin my board and didn't yell at me...oh man...I would have felt like shiet if my board caused an accident...

Today is Sunday and I'm hurtin....Not as bad as I thought I would be ..but my shoulder joints, my right knee, and my coccyx are pretty bruised up... Hopefully I don't have to use my arms too much tomorrow at work. I think I'm goin to have one of the therapists work on me tomorrow :=) Wish I had brought one of our machines w/ me to help w/ all this soreness. I know i'll be cool in a couple of days.. But just wanted to let you all know...I have not given up! I will try boardin again. I'll try the lessons next time around. And if I don't like it then, then maybe i'll try skiing??? Overall, I had a pretty good weekend. I totally lucked out, if I hadn't need to make so many stops, I would have been home maybe in 3 1/2 hours!!! Goodluck to those who are goin MLK weekend!!

Happy New Year! So the question of the year was..."what are you doin for New Year's Eve?" My goodness, I've never heard this question asked so many times. Kinda funny I think. This New Year's Eve started off kinda funky..... Kinda blah...I don't know if it's because we're older so it's just another year gone by, or whether we just had Christmas and all the hoopla that comes with it and we're just tryin to get over that. Whatever it was, this year no-one really had plans or was throwin a big ass house party or plannin to go to one of those extravagant parties where you gotta throw down 100 bucks just to GET IN...meanin you still gotta buy your drinks. In the past, i've gotten all decked out and gone out to a big party w/ the girls, gone to a house party and gotten drinks spilled on me left and right... So this year...I was actually just goin to kick it at home. But my girl was in town and she's never been out for New Year's so I was thinkin...where the hell can we go or do??

We actually ended up at a house party in HERCULES!!! YES!!! I said it... It just happened to be some friends of mine were goin to be there and well, since folks out here didn't know what they were doin...we headed out to the East Bay. Kinda funny...most peeps are always lookin to the city for the nightlife??? Just the opposite this year, at least for me. Welp we get out there and so far pretty cool.. Peeps aren't hella faded yet...pretty mellow..which was nice...You know how it is...when you get to a party and everyone is just TORE UP!!! It's no fun at least from my eyes...you can't have a decent conversation w/ the person and they're pretty much talking non-sense and spillin their drink left and right...I KNOW THIS first hand!!!!

As we walk in, the living room is set up w/ a DJ, drummer, and guitarists.. Pretty cool...we've got live music...Now that's a first!!! My friends actually started singing and playin some tunes..It's pretty cool to see folks just jam together and make up beats on the spot.. We walk towards the kitchen and there's a TV set up in the kitchen...I'm thinkin..ok cool..they've got movies playin...and man..there's just hella dudes watchin the tube in the kitchen..I take a look at the tube and see TITS...it's frickin PORN on the tube!!! HILARIOUS!!!! No wonder there's hella guys just posted... hahahahaha So we walk down to the split level room and this is where another DJ is set up w/ a guy makin drinks at the bar.... So far the set up is pretty cool...We walk out to the patio...and it's a dope ass backyard...I'm thinkin..maaaaaaaaaaan...you can have a wedding out here...that's how nice the landscaping was at this house..

Time goes on and more and more people start rollin through..and I thought i wouldn't know anyone at this party.New Year hits and everyone just starts cheering, toastin their drinks and huggin all around and you hear the champagne pop!!! It was great being around pretty cool people and just chillin...oh and by the way...I DID NOT YACK!!!! I was chillin...oh and note: you don't piss as much if you stick to drinking wine!!! I rang in the new year just chillin and not totally faded!!! Can you believe it.....I told you only 3-4 times a year!!! hahahhaha..I hope all of you had a wonderful new year's as I did and a safe one...I do have to admit...it did suck to have to drive back into the city after the party, not only the distance but to have to drive next to peeps who were swervin on the road comin from all the parties in the city...kinda scary....eek...I did get home safely thank god...but hopefully next time I'll just stay out and drive home the next day...when it's safer :)
