The Weekender

This past weekend was a REALLY GOOD WEEKEND!!!! It started off Friday night, where I was suppose to hook up w/ a friend to watch the Lakers and Nets game. But I didn't hear back from him till later. We meet some other friends and end up at The Tonic. This bar is located on Polk and Vallejo. This means....ASS finding parking. A good suggestion is to park on Van Ness if you can, or park on Franklin.

We walk up a damn incline...note: you better be in shape or else you'll be puffin away and sweatin by the time you get to the bar... Oh yeah..and there's NO COAT CHECK. Because it's a really small bar, you may wanna dress light and there's no cover charge. Another PLUS!! There's no DJ in this joint but there is an INTERNET JUKEBOX!!!! This was a trip. I've never seen one before.

When you walk in, it's pretty much the shape of a box. You have the bar on the right side and some couches against the wall on the left. There's a small stairwell that you think leads to a second floor but it's only the bathroom. Well that's an important thing to know right????

So what's the crowd like??? Welp..it's pretty much the same crowd you'd see hangin out at Bubble Lounge or Gordon Biersch, but I think a younger crowd: age 25-33. It gets pretty packed so don't get all fussy if someone bumps into you. I think this place is pretty much a pittstop for most peeps. It was for us that night at least, although I wouldn't have mind if we stayed. hee hee hee
