Okay folks...I just wanted to add an addendum to the previous entry.... It seems as though I gave the impression that last Friday night went pretty bad and that I had a horrible experience which is not the case at all...In fact, I was in good company and I had a good time. I just didn't want to elaborate more on the "outting" since my blog that day IS/WAS suppose to be more about the concerts that I went to and not really my "social/dating" life....so to say.....

On that note...it's GOOD FRIDAY today and i'm being a good christian/catholic and stayin home tonight...besides i've been out every night this past week that I miss just chillin at home....Maybe i'll go out tomorrow night????

Talk about a long recovery... It's taken me until today to finally blog... hahahhahah So what clubs/bars did I hit this past weekend??? Acutally NONE!!!! Can you believe that??? YUP.....I just wanted to chill this past weekend...Don't get me wrong...It's not like I totally stayed home .... I just modified my activities.....I went to 2 concerts this past weekend....

Let's start w/ Friday...... I was asked to go see Angie Stone/ Kenny Lattimore in Berkeley... And of course i'm down to see a concert... For those of you who don't know these artists...you best get the steppin!!! hahahh Just kidding... These two artists are R&B singers.. The venue the concert was being held at was at the Berkeley Community Center.. Let me tell you guys...if you ever attend an event here....don't wear a sweater..a turtleneck sweater that is and a peacoat....GOD...I was dying....

Well this "date" as the Voodoo wants to call it was goin pretty well until he started crackin a couple of jokes ..... black jokes that is.. Oh, before I forget...Angie Stone and Kenny Lattimore are African-American and of course 80% of the audience was African-American..so then of course I laughed a little...but it just kept goin on and on....Big T.O. (that's Turn Off for you kids) He did state that he'd stop...but he didn't....oh well.... Doesn't this guy know the rules??? Apparently NOT!!! So then the next thing was that he said the word FAGGOT!!!! Goodness gracious!!!! That just totally hurt my ears....Dude is homophobic and of course I have friends/relatives who are homosexual and that just does not FLY w/ me...Although I use the phrase "that is so gay," this was just too much for me...

I'm sorry...back to the concert....really good...This was a much more of a chill, sit-down and enjoy....Although I only know Kenny Lattimore's For You wedding song....I was still able to groove to his music... Alot of ballads for you lovers out there.....

As for last night.....OH MY GOD...the total opposite..... I went to the No Doubt concert at the San Jose State Event Center w/ the Evil One, Boy Wonder, 2 Left Feet, Dickhead, Stinky Feet, and Slick.... Man did we roll deep or what.... The concert was general admission so it's "first come, first serve" basis.. So if you get in line at 3pm, you just might be in luck for a seat. If not...your ass out and your standing for the whole concert, unless you don't mind sitting on the floor that may be wet from drinks being spilled...

So I of course was prepared for this concert since i've been here before for Prince's concert last year... It get's HOT!!!!! I was wearin my travel pants, shirt, a hoody and sweatshirt, since it was hella cold outside... But once you get inside you start peelin off your clothes.. So you don't want to be rollin up in a sweater turtleneck..hint hint...Dickhead... and you don't wanna pimp your leather jacket even though you know it looks good w/ your fit.....2 Left Feet. The only coatcheck around is the arm attached to your body....

We get inside and the openin act is The Faint... These guys are from Nebraska and they weren't too bad... They kinda had an 80's sound to them, but I knew it... Dickhead wasn't feelin it.... She was fallin asleep in her corner...The finally ended they're set and we were waiting an HOUR for NO DOUBT to come on the stage.... I swear....that's the longest i've ever had to wait for an artist to perform.... What the hell do they do backstage....SHEESH.....

As always No Doubt put on a good performance.... They always get the crowd hyped and to see EVERYONE jump up and down and wave they're hands...is SICK!!!!!! Although I didn't appreciate those HIGH-ASS PITCHED SCREAMS in my ear...I swear me and 2 Left Feet were constantly pluggin our ears...it literally HURT!!! Maybe next time, I should bring earplugs... Frickin Slick has this teen screamin in his ear that he moved her in front of him and she ended up screamin in MY EARS.... I swear ....you couldn't get away from it..... Oh and another thing you couldn't get away from was B.O. Oh my god...I swear do poots not smell it....God....the closer we got the stinkier it got....I'm COOOOOOOL!!!

So the performance ends and what do we end up doin????I knew we weren't goin anywhere... Cause we parked in the garage at the top and everyone's tryin to get out of the garage...there is NO WAY!!!! I call up my homie to find out what's close by since i haven't eaten dinner and there's no way we're goin anywhere.. We end up rollin to 7 Eleven to get some beers. I hit up the NACHOS!! I learned a trick on emptyin the tray of nachos and puttin it in a paper bag and w/ the container...you fill it up w/ the cheese and chili so your chips don't get soggy and you get enough cheese and chili to last you your chips....Isn't that just the sickest!!! But why does 2 Left Feet trip out and laughs with what i'm doin...but when we have our little picnic at the top of the parkin lot, he's hella grubbin off the dip...hahahhahahhahahha....Anyways....so we all get our grub, NO BEER (wasn't that the main thing we were suppose to get????) and bring it back to 2 Left Feet's car and we're chillin at the parkin lot grubbin away while peeps are chillin in their cars still tryin to get out...and staring at our food....

We all had a blast last night....it was a dope concert and everyone enjoyed themselves...If we all go out to a concert again...we're frickin TAILGATIN......I'M BRINGIN THE BEER!!!!

It's time to blog again....and where did I head out to last night.....330 Ritch....This place has always been a classic for me...Just because I don't think i've ever gone there and not have a good time.... So what was the occasion??? STRICTLY BUSINESS had they're COME AGAIN anniversary party at this crib and it may just become a monthly scene for you folks that love to dance to ol' skool hip hop...and when I say ol' skool...i'm talkin Salt N Peppa and MC Hammer blastin from them speakers....hahahhahahahha

So where is this place??? It's located at 330 Ritch literally.... w/ cross streets Townsend and Bryant and between 3rd and 4th streets... Parking can be pretty hectic since you've got a couple of dives around this area such as Glas Kat, King Street Garage and Club Universe to mention a few... Also please pay attention to street cleaning signs...cause I parked in a zone that stated "No Parking from 2am to 6am EVERYDAY." It'd be pretty wack after having such a good time at the club to return to you car that's not there anymore since it got TOWED!!!! But last night I had no choice but to park in this zone. So I told my girls to nudge me to leave by 1:15am since you guys know it take HALF AN HOUR to say your good-byes to everyone!!!! hahahhahaha....and that's no joke!!!!!

As you walk in ...you'll be greeted your "friendly doorman" to see your I.D. and then you have the hostess that takes your money.....There's a bunch of small candlelit tables w/ wooden chairs in front of you and the wooden dancefloor in the middle. The bar is facing the dancefloor and to your left is a lil stage w/ more tables and the DJ. There's a back room which sometimes has another DJ but there's a pool table back there that takes quarters for those people who just wanna chill and more candlelit tables and booths w/ another lil bar....that usually serves your basic well drinks and beer... There's a coat check here and mind you people...the AC in here doesn't really work very well so you might wanna dress pretty light.... What is it w/ the AC in these place anyways? Have you noticed that they barely ever work???? You think that's a health hazard or what???

So we get there and it's 11pm and so we just missed the free entry!!!! DARNIT!!! Oh well...we had to pay 10 dollars but you know that's not bad since nowadays clubs be costin 20 BUCKS!!!! We get in and they've drawn a pretty good crowd being that it was only 11 o'clock... Unfortunately...as the Voodoochild and The Evil One stated ....."all shortys." And for me kickin in my 4 inch high boots....i'm pretty TALL!!!! Sorry guys....there were a lot of good lookin men last night, but I was either there height or a lil taller!!! UGH!!!! And the crowd was kinda young ...but maybe in the next couple of months it'll be better...

I get my first and second round of drinks last night and I'm chillin w/ the Voodoochild, The Evil One, Mightymom and Shag..... by the dancefloor... And then all of a sudden I start feelin someone's hand either on my shoulder, on my waist, on my arm tryin to get my attention. But of course it's really light so I brush it off since i'm chillin w/ my folks.... I overhear Voodoochild talkin to some dude who states he's tryin to HOLLA AT ME!!!!! And literally he was HOLLERIN up in the club in my ear!!!!!! And it totally caught me off guard and I was like what the hell is goin on..... Well foolio ends up being a messenger for his homeboy tellin me that i'm real cute and he would like to dance w/ me...!!!! GUYS!!!!! DON'T EVER SEND A MESSENGER OVER!!!!!! BAD BAD BAD!!!! If you wanna try to get a girl's attention..do it yourself!!!! So I tell the messenger...if he wants to dance w/ me he should come over himself and ask me..... So homeboy finally gets the nerve to come over and ask me to dance after 5 minutes of debating and of course i'm taller than this fool....but I go ahead and dance w/ him since i'm itchin to dance... Thank god dude could dance.....or else i'd be outta there in a second... But this is what really gets me....Boy was tryin to figure out how old I was...and get this....he goes....."your Class of .........'98!!!!!!!!" OH SHIET!!!! I was crackin up!!!! "I was Class of '98 in COLLEGE!!!!" Now I knew I was really dancin w/ a YOUNGBUCK!!!! All good...I didn't come out tonight or any night to find Mr. Right at some club.... I come out just to meet new folks and to have a good time..... So after some chit chat...I cut out of the dancefloor and check up on the girls....

So I'm chit chattin w/ some folks, and goodness gracious...it's the messenger now buggin wantin to dance..."what's goin on???? am I goin through all the friends now??" So we end up dancin next to the Drunken Masta, Voodoochild, Mighty Mom and Squeak......and we end up dancin in a line doin the wop!!! LMAO!!!! oh goodness....Drunken Masta and I go at it battlin...and I of course finished off w/ the Hammer droppin back w/ one hand and comin back upright!!!! hahahhahahah you know the Weekender can't be goin half-ass!!! hahhahahaha. Anyways... finally BOY WONDER APPEARS!!!! The purpose of also goin out tonight!!! I straight left the messenger on the dancefloor to say wassup to Boy Wonder.... Guys I usually won't just leave you on the dancefloor...but excuse my actions since I was pretty loaded last night....

Boy Wonder brought his boy 2 Left Feet and they just strolled from Cityscape, which is located at the top of the S.F. Hilton. This is goin to be my next venture, hopefully in the near future.. So of course...the Weekender can't stay away from the dancefloor too long so Jive and I hit the floor and Mighty Mom, Jive, Boy Wonder, Voodoochild, and I become an sandwhich or should I say it became a FREAKTRAIN....LOL!!! OH GOD!!!! I'm so glad that Mighty Mom came out w/ us last night.... Totally brought back memories of our college days!!! I miss you girl!!!!!

Ok...so last night turned out to be another good night....like I said before....the people your with totally make your night...And last night I was surrounded by my most dearest and best friends... I love you guys for being a part of my life!!!

WHOH.....to my surprise a new, but CHILLY spot is Trapdoor. You guys have probably rolled thru here on a Friday or Saturday night. It's usually poppin of course on those nights.... Yes, the Weekender went out on a Thursday night...but hey...what a way to start off the weekend....and I didn't have work the next day.....

So what to say....welp, my girl and I roll up and of course get pimp parkin right out front... OH by the way it's located on Scott and Chestnut...Ok....so there's no cover and of course it's 21 and over... We walk through the red velvet curtains and there's is NO ONE HERE...well a couple of peeps...but really it was EMPTY and FREEZING....I guess that's how it usually is when it's not crowded w/ all the bodies to warm up the place... But they had a nice fire place goin on.... There's one booth, 2 tables w/ bar stools in the middle....the bar on your left and the dj and dance floor at the far end....w/ mirrors all around.... As for the bathroom...this was kinda funky...i think it's a universal bathroom... the door is open and you walk up two steps...and there's the toilet.... HOW QUAINT IS THAT.....

So we post at the bar and decided to get 1 drink and meet up w/ our girl at Cosmos.... Well we sat there, talked and then the bartenders made us what they call a "Washington Apple." That was some tasty shot....Pretty good...So of course we had to ask they're names, make conversation and learn how to place DICE. We weren't plannin on stayin long since it was pretty dead...but wasn't sure if our girl was headed over to meet us instead... Well they kept feedin us drinks so of course there was no way I could drive....

Well low and behold.....at the other end of the bar is an old friend of mine......Oh damn...he did roll thru after all.... So all in all....this turned out to be a good night...They were playin pretty cool hip-hop....Old skool mixed in w/ some mainstream..... all good.... Not hella crowded... But I will tell you this....I think peeps were from USF since they kept giving shouts out to USF the whole night....LOL!!!!! All good though...but if you're lookin for a place to just chill, listen to some good music and watch the bartenders mimic Cocktails and play DICE w/ the bartenders.... then Trapdoor is it.... I'll definitely be back to visit our friends Brian and Graham... the Dynamic Duo!!!!

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan...I must be totally trippin.... I was sooooooooo upset a couple of days ago... The reason be, I had wrote the previous entry and when I clicked on the button to post it...it DISAPPEARED... And here I am today to see it... POSTED!! WHAT THE HELL!!! All in all...I am sooooooooo relieved...

So what other HOT SPOTS are out there in the city??? I finally got a chance to check out a spot called Club Six.... This place just had to be centrally located in the LOIN!!!! Goodness gracious... It's right on 6th and Market....Now if you guys know the city, 6th Street is filled w/ a bunch of heroine-coke addicts, prostitutes, transients.. you name it... peeps just be loitering in the streets, jay-walkin in front of cars and not caring if they get runned over... Now have I painted a pretty picture for you yet???

Well we were suppose to hit up a spot off of 9th Street for a benefit for Mike Dream...but it turned out to be pretty ghetto and not worth going in.. So the guys decided to walk to Club 6. For the ladies out there...make sure your not walkin by yourself or make sure the guys walk behind you unlike our fellow pals here... I swear....THEY SUCK!!! Me and my girl were stragglin behind since we were in boots and of course we couldn't keep up w/ they're long ass strides....Thank god one of the guys stayed behind and kept us company...

So we finally get to the front of the place...and I swear i was hearing some India Music....I was like "why the hell are we going in? don't they hear the music?" But the bouncer assured us that there was better music downstairs.... We get in and it's pretty WARM.... It's dimly lit w/ red being the theme color and velvet red couches along the walls and in the middle of the floor.... There's a long bar on the right side and a mini dance floor at the far end... But tonight they had some live India musicians playing!!!!! Goodness gracious....Well it's our boy's b-day so we're here to make the most of it... I stroll downstairs and the theme color now is that neon glow in the dark blue.... They're playing house music and it's HOTTER HERE!!!!! It looked like and oversize garage since there were those wooden poles throughout the dance floor....

All in all...we had a blast. Besides the music being kinda funky, and that's just MY OPINION, you folks know what makes the night is the people you're with... And we were with some pretty cool folks.

Man.....a month has past by and the Weekender has not BLOGGED!!!! What's goin on???? Well first of all, this chica's been up n down on the richter scale of being sick of not being sick..... So of course I had to lay low for awhile... Then i'm sure all of you know the site was down for awhile...but I of course didn't know i could still write...oh well...all's good...

Anyways....let me warn you guys: DO NOT GO TO BIG HEART CITY RIGHT NOW!!!! Unfortunately, it has turned into a SAUSAGE FEST, which of course for both sexes is a NEG-A-TIVE!!!!! But you know this chica's always got alternatives.....and what are they?????

If you happen to have out of towners who want to go out in the middle of the week...or you just want to go out, meet some new people and have a view of S.F. head out to the Starlight Room at the top of the St. Francis Hotel.... As you walk into the elevator and get scrunched into the corner as more and more people try to pack it in when it's suppose to only have the capacity of 10, you reach the top floor in no time... You walk out and you swear your at Drais'. That's what the atmosphere is like.... Cover is $10 and music ranges from Kool and the Gang to Usher to Fat Boy Slim. But I have to admit...they do play mostly house here...But it's all good....The dancefloor is surrounded by windows w/ the view of San Francisco in all directions... There are couches and tables all over this place. As soon as it hits 11:30pm...this place is really packin it in... From business men, to tourists, to your average joe, to Playboy Bunnie Wannabees.... If you plan to check this place out, word of advice, dress light and dress NICE!!!! They do have coat check which is a plus!!!! Hope you guys like it as much as we did....
