IT IS TIME TO WRITE ABOUT THE WEEKEND!!!! So where's the latest and newest joint to hit???? Welp...it's not the latest...and it's not the newest... You guys remember Big Heart City right??? The one w/ the Denny's right next door and it sits right in front of the 5th & Mission Gararge??? It's not Remedy anymore...it's JIVE!!! That's where my crew and I ended up last night... It was Game Master's Birthday weekend...so you know we couldn't just hit a bar... This chick wanted to get her groove on...as well as the other ladies in our crew...

So we roll up pretty deep....and I try gettin the rest of the folks in for 10 bucks since I had a flyer... But of course the chick at the door wouldn't budge...I swear..maybe if I was 6' 4" , full of testosterone and slipped her a 20 she would have budged...Slippin the doorperson a lil somethin somethin always gets you something or somewhere...

We get in...and they're playin some dancehall. heeeeeeeeeey...IT'S ON.... But since it was a bit chilly and none of us wanted to be walkin the streets all shiverin, we all had coats to check-in. So you know how us women DO!!! Single-file line...we strutt thru the crowd, scopin the scene, make our way up the stairs, checking out the crowd and on to the long-ass line for coat check...NICE!!! But it went by really quick.. It's $2 per item at the coat check...and mind you all if you lose your ticket, you must WAIT till 4am, which is when the club closes to get your coat... THAT IS ASS!!!!

So what's the scene like???? You walk in and you have a long bar on your left and to your right you've got a lounge area which is pretty dark...for them peeps who wanna get they're mack on or high on somethin... They've got a couple of tubes on to what...I don't know...Sorry I wasn't really payin attention... As you walk further in, you've got the main dance floor which plays hip-hop and all that good stuff, w/ 2 boxes for they're dancers to perform and a white screen which they show scenes from videos I think.... My vision was a lil blurry by the time I noticed it. LOL ..

There's a staircase that leads you upstairs which gives you an ariel view of the downstairs, so this is good for those of you who like to people watch...and gawk at the dancers on the boxes....hahahhaa.. I"m sure most of you remember when it was Remedy, the main floor was house and the little room upstairs was the hip-hop room ... Well they've switched it up and it's now the house room. Unfortunately, when I finally made my way to this room it was 3am and peeps were just loungin on the couches. Oh well...

So what's the crowd like you might ask?? Pretty mixed crowd....which I LOVE!!! As for the clientele, well it was kind of your so-so kinda ghetto crowd, but still cool.... That might be due to the dress code... They had stated on they're flyer DRESS CODE ENFORCED but I saw jeans up in there on MEN....and some BEENIES....oh well...I guess you couldn't really be picky on OPENING NIGHT...

Just a lil note.....it gets pretty warm up in here...not that it's hella crowded..but I don't think they're AC works or it's just to big of a joint for you to feel anything. So they use electric fans which kinda help when they're ON!!!! But it's manageable...

Overall, my girls and I had a great time since they were playin really good music, which is a rare find these days..

So it's a Friday night and what to do and where to go???? Well...unexpectedly...I landed at Backflip. I've been there a couple of months ago and thought it was OK.. But tonight was different.

We got there at 10:30pm and of course we were EARLY!!! So, what to do? DRINK UP and watch everyone roll in! VERY INTERESTING crowd... Since Backflip is located near the TL, Nob Hill and 6th and Market....you've got an array of peeps ranging from yuppies to hip hop heads...to business men to your every day Joe.... I love going to a spot filled w/ a rainbow of colors. The vibe is totally different than going to your all Filipino club or your all African-American club.etc..etc... It's all about having a good time and not about who's wearing the latest outfit or who's hella HARD! You folks know what i'm talking about... Yeah, I'm sure when we were 18-24 that's what it was all about....but hey...when you get older...WHO CARES!!!! HAVE FUN!!!! Maybe because I had a couple of drinks or maybe it's just me...

Anyways in the front room you have a circular bar and a small dance floor where the DJ's play house... As you keep walking back, you have couches to your left and on your right you have a patio w/ heating lamps and a POOL and hotel rooms. Did I mention Backflip is located adjacent to the Phoenix Hotel....the same hotel Prince stayed at when he was in town a couple of years ago. Continuing...there's another bar to your left and more couches and booths, another dance floor where there's another DJ set up playing hip-hop and R&B..... For those who smoke...there's ins/outs since the patio closes at 11pm (since people staying at the hotel not always like to hear the sounds of people partying outside they're room).

Warning: Since I had no sense of smell last night, supposedly it gets to smell funky when it gets crowded up in the hip-hop room so the Beer Can says. HAHAHAHHA!!!

ALOHA EVERYONE!!! YES.....I just got back from Hawaii...O'ahu to be exact....I've been there before a couple of years ago w/ 2 girlfriends of mine and went in AUGUST!!!!! OH HELL!!! Can I just tell you that is not the month to go!!!! I had fun but at the same time it was not comfortable....

So where's there to go in Waikik?..One is a place called Duke's. I believe this is a popular hang out during the day and night. OH MY GOD!!! If you want to see MEN... sorry guys....this is the place to be.... EVERYWHERE and I tell you EVERYWHERE... I finally tried a Blue Hawaii.... NOT BAD... But I think the most intersting drink of all is "THE ITCH" You get a BACK SCRATCHER in your drink!!! hahahhahaha...How hilarious is that. This bar is pretty cool...it's a restaurant also...Didn't get to try the menu but it's all good...You're pretty much there for the atmosphere.. A bar on the beach....

Another spot is Fusion!!! Mind you, our girl didn't tell us that we were going to a gay club... She just said that there were drag queens there and that there were going to be some male strippers.. Well I should have known since she was gay herself... Well anyways... we get there and there's women there w/ male striippers grinding their crotches in their faces and lovin it... We go upstairs and sit at a booth and order some drinks... One of the girls says, "man....there's a lot of lonely men in here." and I tell her "girl...we're in a gay club." I BUST UP LAUGHING.... Anyways..one of the strippers climbs into our booth and grinds his crotch in her face and all of a sudden my hand is getting pulled to slap his ASS!!! And HELL NO did it go there...this stripper had hair on his ass....as I would like to call it, his ass was like PEACH FUZZ!! HAHAHHAHAHAH... All in all...we had a good time, good music but smoke was everywhere...They can still smoke in their bars out there...so we were outta there....

I think the next hottest spot in Waikiki is probably Mai Tai Bar in Ala Moana Mall... Can you believe it.... A kick ass bar in a mall... It had a live band, cozy couches and chairs and a long ass bar in an open air mall... I think my favorite drink now is a Mai Tai Icy.... NICE!!! And when we went there it was happy hour....Okay...everyone can benefit from this place...there's lots of guys and girls to look at here.....This is a must... But mind you, I don't know if it's always this good every night...So you might want to ask the locals about this place..

So the end of my trip came to a close on Tuesday night when I had to fly back on a red-eye flight and connect in LAX at 5:30am Wednesday morning... And i'm still trying to recover.... Got into SFO at 8am SHIVERING!!!! ...Crashed out for 3 hours, hit the gym (what was I THINKING), ate dinner and passed out again at 9:30pm. And went to woke up today at 5:45am to go to work.... UGH....back to the real world.... Can't wait to go back....As you can tell, I wasn't OFF DA HOOK as some of you know I usually am... But this was more of a relaxing trip, to get away for awhile. I don't think I'll be taking any more trips for awhile, at least any major ones... But for next year, and I totally recommend taking a trip in January so you're able to start anew, is TAHITI!!!!

ok.....the Weekender has finally recovered from this whirlwind of a weekend....not that I was totally loaded or hungover....just a very long and fulfilling weekend that started on Wednesday...hahhahahahaha ... jealous aren't you....

Welp.....after work on Wednesday this chica met up w/ some friends at ChaChaCha's in the Mission District....I swear I'm there almost every week.....Anyways, this place is a PLUS!! Unfortunately, but thank god, it wasn't crowded... This place is usally packin it in, even during the middle of the week. Maybe since it's right after New Year's, everyone blew they're Christmas bonuses on they're night out on New Year's. So peeps decided to stay in and recover.... Oh wells.... Not for Weekender.... hahahahaha... As soon as I got there...I spotted some peeps and of course had a glass given to me and loaded on some SANGRILLA!!!!! This is what ChaChaCha's is know for...SANGRILLA & TAPAS!!!! My favorite of course is just dippin' they're bread in the cajun shrimp sauce and the next best thing is the sauce from the MUSSELS!!!....OOOOOOOOOOOOOO is that good or WHAT!!!

Ok so after getting loaded on sangrilla, we head out to the city's most infamous Mitchell's Ice Cream.... This is located on San Jose Ave and 29th or something like that... This place has your typical flavors: vanilla bean, khalua etc...but of course I have to get MACAPUNO!!!!! (that's coconut by the way hee hee hee) I tell you, no matter what the weather is like or what time of the day it is....this spot ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS has a bunch of peeps waiting in line.

Now, it's Thursday....and what does Weekender have planned....Welp...this was an interesting night.... We had planned to go out for eats and drinks... but end up going to FedEx in Oyster Point....I swear...this office is in THE CUTTS!!!! Anyways..my girls' credit card was stolen during this holiday season and of course the idiots try buying stuff online...but for some reason send it to a fake address....How weird is that? Well we get to Fed Ex and these mongrels bought a fatty DELL COMPUTER on her card....she was not a happy camper.....so fo course she needed to contact the policeman on her case.... So instead of goin out we decided to stay in.....

Luckily, my girl lives near HAWAIIAN DRIVE-IN!!!!! Have you guys heard of it? I know there's 2 locations: one in the Mission District and the other is located in Daly City near Holy Angels Church..... OH MAN! If you want some good eats...well actually i only tried the short ribs and the saimin noodles.....it's GOOD and most of all CHEAP!!!! The have tonkatsu, and terriyaki beef/chicken, and some fish dishes... I recommend it...For vegetarians...hmmmmmmm didn't really get a good look at the menu...but i'm sure they can accomodate....

As we chilled at my girl's pad....we ended up watching that segment on MTV regarding peeps who are aroused by wearing FUR!!!!!! OH MAN....now when you're kinda buzzin...and of course we were drinking some wine from V. Satuii.....THIS IS A TRIP!!!! Let's just say that anything in a fur costume....I won't be able to look at the same way...For those of you who missed it, I'm sure there'll be a repeat of it....

Now you all must be saying....how the hell does this chick go out during the week and still go to work????? It's called CAFFIENE in the MORNING..... but remember i'm not totally off the HEEZY!!!! I maintain.....can't be all drunk and faded when tretating patients... too funny!!! I may just fall into the pool....POOL????? Well recently i've been supervising patients in our pool at work....

Anyways...goin to take a break from the keyborad and i'll be back in a few.

Hey Kids....i know i know....i've been ultimate lagger on this blog......as the Voodoo Child knows....i've been having "physical disabilities" lately.... but i'm better now..... Man...so New Year's Eve was here and gone.... seemed like this year was a lil different...YOU THINK??? I'm sure all of you were callin peeps last minute askin "what are you doin tonight???? nothing huh???" Debatin in your head if you should just chill at home and watch Carson Daly count down the New Year's at Time Square, hit a club and pay $25 dollars or MORE, or CRASH a house party..... Welp, I chose to do the 3rd option.... hahahhahahha...

I rolled w/ Voodoo Child and Rhyming Machine and met up w/ some old h.s. friends at some house party in Ingleside..... Let's just say kiddies....if you're ever invited to a house party near City College.....Ocean Ave. divides the neighborhoods into TWO...."your nice residential neighborhood, with the house w/ the small yard and tree out in front" vs. "you might get mugged just walkin down one block." HAHHAHA

Well anyways... we got to the party and was i SOBER or WHAT!!!! Goodness gracious.... I was totally wishin I could be on they're LEVEL...not to be all drunk, rude, spillin my drink on everyone and knockin over bottles....BUT so I wouldn't have to SMELL everyone's BURPIN BREATH of chicken wings, salsa dip, mixed in w/ Grand Marnier, Kettle One, and OJ... just to name a few Seriously....NOT COOL!

Anyways....let me tell you the HIGHLIGHT OF MY NIGHT......Hellraiser was sittin on my lap w/ her drink and You Want This came tumblin at us and her and my drink just splashed all over my face and all over my leather jacket and bag that I had just bought 2 weeks ago!!!! ....PARTY FOUL!!!! Let's just say...after that moment I was not a happy camper ...but I had to maintain cause both these fools are my homies and it's New Year's. But I couldn't believe that whole incident didn't faze either of them and no apologies.... Well I guess that's how it is when your drunk....

So as the night went on....I was keepin an eye on my LL Cool J hat that Lou FerrigNOT had swiped from me.... Yes...when I got my hat back...it was kinda damp....EEK! Think i'm goin to dry clean it.... Then I ended up dancin w/ this guy who I swear was doin all these Hawiaan moves to HIP HOP. HAHAHHAHA I could not get my groove on what's so ever cause I could not follow this fool's lead..So after awhile...I was like..."what the hell"....he's entertaining....

So how are you picturing my night so far????? Either...."damn, that's horrible" or "damn....what a RIOT." Welp, I think it was a lil of both....It was coo seein old friends whom I normally don't hang out w/ on a regular basis, but pretty interesting that these folks still be partyin HARD!!!! It was finally 1am and I was yearning for my bed since i've been up since 6am because of course I had to WORK. So I had to be party pooper and tell Voodoo Child and Rhyming Machine that it was time to bounce but I don't think they minded...

Now why is it that every time you're at a party...you gotta say bye to EVERYONE....It took us about 30 minutes to get out of there.....that's why i've resorted to the universal way of saying good bye... Everyone gets ONE big wave from me and I say , "BYE EVERONE!" Good enough.... So yeah... that was pretty much my night...I hope what they say "whatever you do on New Year's is how the rest of your year will be" NOT IF I CAN HELP IT!!!!
