spirit fingers

It's been 2 days since Nanay Carmen did her hilot magic on me. I've had no fevers since, no more nightmares, and I'm even playing more. Like I've never been sick.

Did the hilot work?
I think it did because after I got home from the hilot'er, my body somehow felt super-duper tired. Like I've been working overdrive the past couple of days. Even though I already napped before seeing her, when Mums and Pops took me home, I slept for another 2 1/2 hours. And this time when I woke-up from my nap, I wasn't grouchy. I just smiled at Mums and even gave her a smooch on the cheek.

Was my fever going away just a coinkidink?
I really feel Nanay Carmen helped my fever go away! But I'll never know.

They say for the hilot to work, you have to believe in it. I know Mums and Pops are were so-so about it, but were just willing to try anything to help me, but now...maybe they're leaning more towards the belief of spirit fingers.

You wanna know what I don't like though. After all this, Mums and Pops have to rub me with this icky smelling oil guck. It's supposedly "lighter" on my body than Vicks. And the wacky part - there's a cross in the bottle! Really! I'll show you a picture when Mums takes one.

hilot

This fever of mine doesn't seem to want to go away. Well, it does in the morning, but comes right back in the afternoon. And when it comes back, it REALLY comes back.

Like 103.8 back!!!

So of course being in Sun Dyago with LaLa and my other Nanays they appear to know more than Doc. They came up with 3 theories to my fever:
1. someone I don't really know touched me and left me with all this negative energy
2. something inside me is either hurting or broken
3. I'm being spooked

These theories came up because although my fever is so high, my hands and feet are cold. Don't worry, I don't get it either. Mums and Pops don't get it either, but just say oooooooooooh. What can they say? The Nanays say medecine won't help me. I need to get hilot by another Nanay. Nanay Carmen that is. She's a hilot'er.

I went and saw her this afternoon. She rubbed guck on me while her eyes were closed and told Mums and Pops what was going on inside my body. Nanay Carmen says my fever is inside my body, my second molars are coming out, and my left shoulder is broken. Believe what you like. Again Mums and Pops just nodded and said oooooooooooh. Then Thank You when she was done.

Merry Christmas!

I just wanted to say Merry Christmas to all my friends and family. I'm here in Sun Dyago enjoying the humid, sunny weather - not! I can't believe it's 75 degrees in December!!!

I hope you guys are having as much fun as I am. Well, I still have my fever, but everytime I have that yummy in my tummy medecine, I always seem to feel much better. Thank goodness for medecine.

a trip to the ER

I gave Mums and Pops a little scare last night. When I woke-up yesterday morning, I was a tad bit warm, but they gave me some yummy in my tummy medecine. Then I was okay so I played, ran around, and even opened more gifts! My friends even came over so we opened more gifts! Then the sun went away, and it was time to go nite-nite. Mums was feeling my head and telling Pops I felt too hot. I felt hot, but at the same time I was cold. I didn't know what was happening to me because I couldn't move my eyes and I couldn't stop shaking.

That was it. The ER I went. My fever was a little over 104 and from what I hear, that's not good for babies like me. I HATE the ER. There are strangers all over the place touching me, talking to me, putting things on my body. Tonight this lady put something in my boody-boody! I think it's called a suppose-it-me Tylenol suppository. It was suppose to make me feel better. Of course it felt like forever while we waited to see Doc. And when he came, he did more touching and seeing - all the things I HATE.

But I'm good. Nothing wrong with me. Just a little scare - maybe an early Christmas present for Mums and Pops - hee hee.

Ho-Ho-Ho at my house

My other family came to my house tonight to celebrate Christmas...and give me presents. Yeah! I love it when other people are at my house - it's loud, there's a lot of food, tons of people to play with or carry me around, and most importantly, I don't have to sleep early. Well, Mums and Pops will try to make me go to bed, but no siree, not when I still have a lot of people to play with.

I was the CD passer-outer tonight. That what they did. Instead of gift-gifts, all the big people shared music CD's. Even me!

Then Pops played the CD's on the music box so they guessed songs and oooh'd and aaaah'd. I really don't know what the big deal was. I didn't hear Twinkle, Twinkle or Itsy Bitsy Spider. Now those are songs! The bestest part of the night was game time. What game? Like I would know. All I know is they were always laughing - sometimes tearing.

And...the bestest, bestest part of the night...PRESENTS FOR ME! Thank you Ninang Voodoo and Ninong Mango for my kewlio books.

I love them!

final test....

Mallrats...NOT!

I spent a lot of time at the mall on Sadder Day. Me and my friends had an early appointment at KK to take our Christmas pictures. Our appointment was at 9 in the wee early morning. Mums had to wake me up, because I don't usually get up until about 8:30ish. She even made me breakfast to eat while we waited for our turn!

Taking pictures with my friends always takes a loooooooooooong time. For some reason we never want to sit down at the same time. It's pretty fun to get up and run around to wait for someone to catch you and sit you back down. And if one of my friends start to run around, I don't want to be the only one sitting. No way! That's no fun. The funnest part is when EVERYONE is sitting, all the Mums and Pops clap their hands to make us smile. I think it's funny. They look funny - all clapping together yelling 'smile,' 'look here,' 'show your teeth,' 'yoo hoo,' - blah, blah, blah.

After all the picture taking was done, we ate lunch because we had to wait for our pictures. Then went back to the mall! Walking, walking, walking, walking. Uncles showed up and Mums and Pops talked forever and ever. Thank goodness for my Kuya Diego. He kept me company the entire time - walking, running, climbing, and sometimes sitting. We didn't leave the mall until almost 4! Can you believe it?! That's a long time at the mall don't you think?

test again

no 5-finger discount this time

This morning we hurried and got ready to buy our Christmas tree before it started to rain again. It wasn't raining-raining, but there were little spits here and there. When we got to the store, there were a lot of other people looking and wanting to buy a tree.

Mums and Pops picked up a tree, then dropped it. Picked up another tree, then dropped it. I think that's how you look for trees - pick up, then drop, pick up, then drop. They finally found one they both said yeah to and Pops dragged the tree to this cutting machine to get wrapped up in stringy things. We paid for our tree this year. Not like last year where we got the tree with a 5-finger discount. Not on purpose! This year, Pops and Mums made sure there was no discount.

When we got home, the decorating started. The tree, the walls, the window, the door, and even extra for Pop's work office.

The best thing about tonight was my Choo Choo Train! Pops and I put a choo-choo under the tree and I just watched and watched as it choo'd around and around the tree. I was so excited. The smile on my face said it all. It's a little loud and the smoke that comes out from the top of the choo-choo is just wowsers.

Thank you Pops. I love my Choo-Choo.
