no more needles, please

I had my 1 year BWC (Baby Well Check-up) today. Which means I got to see Doc today. blah, bleh, blah, same as always. A pokie here, a lookie there, a measure here...Doc says I'm normal and look healthy.

height: 30 inches
weight: 23 pounds

I was having a good day until Mums busted out with my baby medicine. I'm not feeling sick. I feel well. My head don't hurt, I'm not warm, my ears don't feel infected, my gums don't have teeth coming out...

Why my baby medicine?

Shots!!!

I got 5 shots. 5 shots! 2 on one leg, 2 on the other leg, and 1 on my arm.

Mums says I was a good-boy. For a prize she bought me a balloon. Pops even came home with another prize. He bought me a balloon too. Two balloons! I love my prizes.

Messycano Hamburger?????

After a lot of shopping - and I mean oodles and oodles of shopping, we went to the Sunshine Spot. It was din-din time, so Ninang made some yummy in my tummy burritos. There was meat, beans and rice from a box. I couldn't eat the meat because it would burn my tongue, but I ate all my beans and rice from a box.

When Ninang was making her burrito, she did something weird to her burrito. Mums and Pops always puts this icky hot sauce on their burritos, but Ninang put Cat-sup on hers. She says it's really yummy because a burrito is just the Messycano Mexican version of a hamburger. I didn't taste it. Maybe some other time. Pops says I should get use to the food Ninang eats. I wonder what he means.

Ninang also gave me some advice...I'll share them with you later on - hee hee.

santa came in june

Dear Santa,
I'm sorry you and the little elves are working in June. Yes I've been a superly-duperly good boy...well, except for spitting, pulling hair and biting. Other than that, I'm a good boy! Promise. I'm just a tad confused. Did you give me this Christmas present because for my birthday? Meaning I'm going to get a Christmas present every birthday? I hope so...I mean, since you started, you can't stop, right?

Santa, I just turned 1 finger. I can walk, sorta run, and even talk. A ton, a ton a lot! I even tell Mums and Pops ay yoy yoo (I Love You) every night with a goodnight smooch. And I potty in the toilet instead of my Pampers! Neato huh? That should be a bonus gift.

I love bouncing balls, books and cell phones. Well, any phone actually. I love to eat. I'm actually not very picky, so I'll take any kind of food basket you have. So Santa, remember all of this for Christimas tree time. Don't worry, I'll write you another letter to remind you. Thank you again for my Christmas present in June!

Always a good boy,
Tootles

hee haw day

I celebrated my birthday...again. This time the Broke-Back way - so they say. Mums dressed me up in my cowhide pantaloons and soft boots. Pops designed my birthday cowboy shirt. I thought I looked quite snappy.

There was oodles and oodles of happenings at my shindig...
- a scary train ride that showed you what happens when you're not good
- stinky smelly fat goats
- ponies locked up in chains who weren't allowed to run away
- a big plastic balloon where kids jumped in
- yummy in my tummy food...especially the melon juice slurp!
- all my friends and familia wanting to hold me and kiss me

I even got my first holy-one candle from Ninang Voodoo and Ninong Mango. Mums says they're going to teach me my first prayer when I light it.

At the end of my shindig I was pooped! So pooped I couldn't keep my eyes open in the car. Actually Ninong Dookie D couldn't keep his eyes open either.

So we fell asleep. Mum tells me they even left me in the car to sleep some more so they can unload all my party stuffies. Luckily Lolo Dadd stayed in the car with me to make sure I was safe.

I had a happy blast from my Hee Haw shindig. I love Mums and Pops for giving me one. I also love everyone who helped Mums and Pops too!

Love and Kisses smooches!

for auntie duckie

Sorry. No zoo stuff. Since Pops took the internet with him to Canada, I forgot about my trip to the zoo already. Mums should've helped me remember, but she forgot too - oopsie.

I'll give you pictures though =0)

walking isn't always fun

I've been walking a lot more now. Anywhere and everywhere. I especially like walking in the kitchen because there's so many things to open and close. All the cabinets and drawers. Mums is pretty quick in closing them right away, but this morning she was a slow-poke.

When I was opening one of the drawers, I accidentally fell and hit my chin on the corner. I cried. I cried a lot, but when Mums told me to palo (spank) the drawer I felt a tad bit better. Mums wanted to give me a band-aid, but Pops says "it's just a nick." I don't know any Nick though. Oh well.

I still hurts sometimes. But do you think I stopped opening drawers? I don't think so. No way Jose! After crying, I tried opening the same drawer, but Mums put the ladder in front of it so I couldn't get hurt anymore.

a nice fic-nic

Mums and Pops took me on a fic-nic at Goldie Park *gol.den gat.e*. Ninang F gave Mums a fic-nic basket for her berfday, so she really wanted to use it. The sunshine was warm and there's not very many days like this.

Good yummies were packed in the fic-nic basket - samwiches, cheese, chips, grapes, melon, peas and sweetie potatoes. I love the chips. They were the salty and vinegar ones. Some pieces were hard so I just spit them out.

I saw some pretty coolio things at Goldie Park - really interesting! First I saw a horse. A hairy scary horse...

And I saw this lady giving another lady a bath-bath...

Then at the playground I saw my Kuya and his new baby brother.
