ghetto-style wagon

Mums had this marvelous idea for some home entertainment. She made me a wagon. A wagon out of my pampers box for the body and a belt for the handle.

I must admit, it was fun. Just sitting there and being pulled in the kitchen, out the kitchen, in the hallway, through the hallway, in the dining room, out of the dining room...you get what I mean.

As much as I love my ghetto-fabulous wagon, Ninong Don Corleone, I think it's time for my birthday present.

ikea'd out!

I took my first trip to IKEA with Mums and Pops. It was boring at first because I just sat in the shopping cart. Every once in a while, Pops would swing me around in the cart, but b-o-r-i-n-g.

Then we got to section. The toy section! There were toys and stuffed animals all over the place. There was even a slide! A slide!

Mums put me on the slide and I was scared. Only the first time. After I saw Pops on the other side, sliding was fun. I can't seem to stay sitting though. I end up on my back, then hitting the floor with my butt-butt. I heard Mums say she wanted to buy me a slide for my Octagon. I hope so. I need to practice this sliding thing so I can be better.

Mums and Pops still did some shopping after I got to play in the toy area. I was getting sleepy. But when it was time to pay for all our stuff, I saw that I wasn't the only one tired. This poor grandma was more tired than I was! She was so tired, she fell asleep on an IKEA couch! At least she took her shoes off first.

m.i.c...see you real soon...k.e.y...why? oh, i don't know

I got a special gift today from Mickey Mouse. The Mickey Mouse in Florida, not L.A. He gave me the biggest and most yummiest lollipop and a cool ear hat. Mickey gave Mums and Pops gifts too, but since I can't play with them, they're not important.

My ear hat was juat tad bit too big for me, but this is how you're suppose to wear it.

my secret stash

While Mums was doing my laundry downstairs, I was in my Octagon. I was playing - la, la, la, la, la, la...

bam!

Guess what I found?

A secret jellybean hiding with all my toys! A jellybean! A red jellybean!!!

I only like the jellybean though until all the color is gone. So I suck on it and suck on it, then spit it out. That jellybean was mmmm, mmmm good. So good, I wish there was more hiding with my toys, but after Mums saw me eating another jellybean, she checked my entire Octagon.

Look at me...just in time for Pops to come home from work and see me. Mann-o-mann was I sticky boy.

eggzactly!

Wowsers. I had a pretty EGGciting weekend. On Sadder Day me and my friends all played together in my Octagon. It was super-duper fun. Especially during our egg hunt! There was a gazillion-billion eggs everywhere, but I liked the teeny tiny ones best. It's because I can hold them better.

While I was picking some eggs up, one opened and all the goodies came out. And when I say goodies, I mean goodies. Thanks to these goodies I got to sample me a jellybean, gum, and Em N Em =0) Well, only until Mums noticed and took it out of my mouth.

Then on Sun Day, we went to church first, then went to LoLa Norma's house for lunch. Mmm-mmm lunch delish. I ate Tinola with spinach and sayote and some oranges for snack. Then dinner with Nayla and LoLo. Even more mmm, mmm delish! Chicken, palabok AND lumpia. And for snack, Pops let me taste Flan. That Flan thing was yummy in my tummy. I wish I could have eaten more, but Mums said I'd be up until my next birthday.

So to me, Easter means finding eggs with my friends...and eating.

I took my first 3-steps!!!

It was fun mini-walking back-n-forth to Mums and Pops. Woohoo. I'm so close to freedom.

a weekend of firsts

I had a pretty eventful weekend. We really didn't have anything to do or anywhere to go, but Mums, Pops and I were always having to go somewhere.

I'm still a tad bit sniffly and coughing, but I'm a trooper. I didn't want to stay home another second!

We went out to eat with Ninong Don Carleone, and Pops ordered me my first kids meal. I had some yummy chicken and finger fries. It was yummy in my tummy, but I didn't eat very much of it. I was actually tired and just wanted to go to sleep, but it was so loud in the restaurant. Every time I tried to close my eyes, people were screaming and clapping their hands. Sheesh! Can't a baby get any sleep?

Mums was on a hunt for some Brokeback outfit for my party here. I'm going to have a cowboy party in a farm. I'm excited because Mums says I can ride the train for as long as I want. Anyways, Mums didn't find anything at the stores so she's going to look for some in her computer.

We also went to pick up the other pieces to my octagon from some lady on Mr. Craigs. Mums found her in her computer. Now my octagon is bigger! So big I can see Mums when she cooks in the kitchen, and it's like a maze when I crawl around. I just don't like the cold floors, but you get use to it. Pops is going to look for some kind of mat or carpet to put on the floor so my knees don't freeze.

When we were going to the lady's house, Pops says I visited the land of the "happy" people. I'm not really sure what he means by that, but when he said that I saw a gazillion flags with rainbow colors. Pretty snazzy.

my birthday gift for Mums and Pops

Yesterday was my 11 months birthday...yeah! Super close to my 1 year. Yippee!!! Thanks to Auntie Duckie, I got to eat my noodles - pad thai noodles.

So far I've mastered how to:

- sign "milk" in sign language
- stand on my own for a few seconds
- speed crawl
- say dada, bird, balloon and takla by repetition
- throw things
- play pass the ball
- "bless" or mano Pops and others who stick their hand out
- bounce my hands to music

And now I'm learning to:

- say more and snack in sign language
- share
- smack myself in the head

Oooh, I gave Mums a very special birthday gift. I taught her to not leave me alone when in my walker. I know she wasn't gone for very long - actually she was going pee pee. I some how managed to knock down the table in our entrance way. Along with that came down a bamboo plant, Mum's cell phone, a picture frame and tons and tons of papers.

Check out my damage.
