n*&&a' moment

I watch this cartoon with Pops every Sunday. Today I experienced THE n*&&a moment first-hand.

Pops, Mums and I were at Toys R Us buying some goodies. Since it's closing down, there was a hunky good sale. At least for Mums. We were in the pay line, then all of sudden a mexican lady and black lady started yelling at each other.

I think this is what happened...

...the mexican lady accidentally hit the black lady while walking (the aisles were really tight because there was a gazillion people). Boom the black lady started yelling at the mexican lady! I think she was yelling some naughty things because Mums covered my ears and told me she was glad I couldn't understand what they were saying. It was like the whole store turned around and just stared at them. But no workers did anything about it. They just stared too. As if nothing was happening.

What's this world coming to?
What kind of world to I have to live in?

"It was an accident black lady. Mexican lady didn't mean to hit your shoulders with her shoulders. Nobody wanted to walk away even with the kids standing there...a n*&&a moment."

better than the wiggles

A few months ago I could say the gigantic picture frame in our living room was very exciting to me - you know, that one where a zillion different people talk. Sometimes real or fake...television.

I did enjoy looking at few shows with Mums and Pops like the cooking channel, Gilmore Girls (Pops doesn't approve), Family Guy and The Boondocks.

Now, I LOVE the shows where there's singing. In the mornings I watch The Doodlebops, Little Einsteins, Dragontales, and sometimes Sesame Street. There's really not too much singing in that. Then I watch some of my sign language video and play with Mums. When Pops comes home, I watch Maya and Miguel and Dragontales.

I'm telling you, I don't know why, but when I hear singing I can't keep my eyes away from the gigantic picture frame.

Tonight was a treat. Mums watched this show where there was a lot of singing!

I loved, loved, loved it!!!

I just don't understand why Mums and Pops would laugh sometimes. I hope I get to watch it every night.

i didn't do it...really

Alrighty, here's my side of the story.

Don't believe anything Mums and Pops says.

So I'm going about my business in my walker. Just struttin' around the house - here and there. You should see me maneuver my way through the house. I'm really good. A pro. I should teach other 'Toots' like me if they want to learn. There's a lot of crashing involved, but I don't get hurt. The crashing is actually fun - walls, chairs, cabinets, laundry baskets, doors, whatever gets in my way. It's so fun, at times I back myself up and crash again.

Tonight I had a little oopsie. For so long, I've passed Mums little trinkets (Capodimante from Italy) displayed in the cabinet. I would just stare at them, then keep walking.

Stare, then walk.
Stare, then walk.

This time I stopped. I stared, but didn't walk. I touched. Touched! Well touch is being nice. I actually pulled, then dropped.

Wowsers, once it crashed on the floor Mums and Pops came in a quickness. Oopsie. I didn't mean it.

Really.

I just wanted to see it closer. So I can stare. Nah, I really wanted to touch it. Maybe put it in my mouth. But gosh darnit, it fell.

Pops picked up the pieces, and Mums dug her finger in my mouth thinking I had some pieces in there. Hello! I didn't even get to play with it. So how can pieces be in my mouth?

Oh well....

oh yeah, I also broke another Capo-blah-blah-blah...and tore Mums's plants.

dancing or my birthday

I'm not in a very good mood at the moment. Today I am 8 months old and Mums and Pops ignored me tonight.

Happy Birthday to me.

My day started well with Mums. I think it's because she now gives me Cheerios. Those little circle are the bestest things in the world! It never seems to end. When I think I'm done eating them, I find some more - on the floor, in between my fingers, under my bib, on my cheeks. They're neverending!!! Never!

Then the sun went away...
Hello? Why aren't you guys paying any attention to me?

Why are your eyes just staring at the t.v.?

Because of "Dancing with the poo-poo Stars." Pops was laughing too much at this Kenny Mayne guy. And when he laughed, Mums laughed. Then they were both laughing.

Get over it already. That's what I was trying to say, but only screams and grunts came out. They didn't hear me. Why?

Because Pops was too busy voting! Not once, but 7 times!!!

Blah to you!

2006 goals

I've thought long and hard about my 2006 goals. Mums says not to use the word 'resolution' because sometimes we don't always reach them.

So I'm setting up goals. That way, even if I dont' reach them, I won't be sad. I can still be happy that I almost reached it.

Before sharing my goals, I want to share a few things I've learned in 2005...

- Crying can work for me in two ways - I either get what I want (milk, food, get picked up, whatever-whatever-whatever), or I get put to bed.

- When I raise my arms up, someone will usually pick me up.

- Smiling will make people go "ooooooh" - especially Mums. But it can also get my cheeks squeezed.

- I'm a big fan of shiny necklaces - Pops calls it "bling."

- I like taking eye/sunglasses off your face. It's fun. So if you're wearing it, beware.

- I superly-duperly HATE tummy time. I really don't understand the big deal of needing tummy time. Just carry me...lazy.

- Not everything I pick up should go in my mouth...has Mums ever told you about the laptop plug? Eck! Getting a shock in your mouth isn't fun.

- Karo syrup helps my poopy not hurt my butt-butt. Thank you, Karo!

- Drinking from a cup is messy. I always get too wet and cold.

(drum roll) drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

And some of my goals for 2006 are...

- I can't wait until I can run. Run away from Mums and Pops when they call my name. But I think I need to learn how to crawl first.

- I'm excited to get more teeth so I can eat more food. Especially the things Mums and Pops eat.

- My very first 1st birthday. Need I say more?

- My first Super Bowl with Pops...we're hoping the Steelers make it. Ooooh, I can wear my outfit.

- Say more words. Right now, Mums and Pops can only understand mama.

So far that's all I can think of. I'll keep you updated with how well I did with my goals.

my first christmas and new year celebration

I just got back from Sun Dyago. Oh, oodles and oodles of fun with everyone. But let me rewind and start off at the beginning of my first Christmas. Mums helped me make goodies to share. The initial plan was to have Pops drive me around and drop off my goodies, but I got the sniffles so I couldn't go to all the houses I wanted to.

Christmas Eve, I went to church with Mums, Pops, Nayla and Lolo. We went to the children's mass so I wouldn't get in trouble for being loud. Then I opened my first Christmas Eve present. I actually started opening presents way-way-way before Christmas Eve, but this was my offical Christmas Eve present.

I spent Christmas Day with Mums, Pops, Nayla and Lolo. I had a special lunch too! I had my very fist dinaguan. Mums called it Chocolate Meat.

mmmmmmmm, yummy in my tummy!!!!!!!!
