From Act I, Scene X of L'Incoronziane di Poppea by Claudio Monteverdi

Poppea
Come dolci signor, come soavi riuscirono a te la notte andata di questa bocca i baci?
(How sweet my lord, how soft did you find throughout the night from these lips my kisses? )

Nerone
Più cari i più mordaci.
(The harder you bit the better it felt. )

Poppea
Di questo seno i pomi?
(How do you like my apples?)

Nerone
Mertan le mamme tue più dolci nomi.
(Your breasts deserve more sweeter names.)

Kinda corny, eh? Now imagine that but having Poppea straddling Nero the whole time wearing sexy lingeree! Oh yeah, baby!

We ran through the first act of the opera being produced by the Music Department at school, and man it's pretty dang suggestive of lots of stuff. And how lucky am I to be Nerone, I get to stare directly at my opposite's chest! Hey, it's written in the script.

Anyway, I'm having a great time trying to learn how to act. Then add to that acting in Italian. Then add to that singing and acting in Italian. Right! It's going, but I'm having a great time. In fact, I've been inspired to audition for West Side Story. Who knows, I think I'd make a perfect chino, I mean Chino!
