[The Giants win the pennant, the Giants win the pennant!]
Yeah right...
Hey there, BeatsRhymesnLife-ers:
How's everything going on All Hallow's Eve 2002? Maybe I'll be at the Castro maybe not. If I am, that's me wearing the paper bag over my head.
I'm singing in a concert on Sunday but I'll drop the info on that tomorrow.
Oh yeah, for all you girls out there breaking up with good guys because "you don't want to be in a relationship"...
I don't wanna see you start seeing another dude as soon as you've dumped us...that makes everything you've told us to "lessen the hurt" a bunch of bullsh!t. If you don't wanna be in a relationship don't start up something that may lead to one. Stay single. Right? Or at least that's what you told us.
Oh yeah, Warriors baby. Baseball season is done so it's one to Football and Hoops. Jay Rich and Tawn Jamison are going to bust out. Like I told you Voodoo, we're going 30+ wins this year.

[5 more freakin wins and we'd have hosted Game 7]
I was so bummed out after Sunday night that I didn't even watch TV or go online until right now.
Tuesdays are now my bitter days and I've compiled a few good ones:
So, without furthur adieu, here's No Tation's first
Bitter Tuesday List
[aka Things I'm bitter about]
1) 4 - 1. 4 to freakin' 1.
2) Rally monkeys.
3) Niners' D giving up 28 points to a suck @ss Cardinals team.
4) Losing my Fantasy Football game because I played Eric Johnson and David Patten played Mr. Invisible man.
5) Being all set to get a subscription to Sports Illustrated so I can get my special SF Giants commemorative pin and book.
6) Being all set to go to the parade which was supposed to be on Monday.
7) Cute little Darren Baker crying his eyes out.
8) Not having getting any @ss in 1.29 years.
9) Perhaps losing Dusty Baker and Jeff Kent in the offseason.
10) Rally Monkeys.
I'll talk to you later.

[late nite ponderings on the eve of Game 6]
I went to a friend's house today (he's actually become a good friend of Ecks) and he and his roomies put together a little collage on their kitchen wall. Yeah, there were two pics of her up there. I felt a sudden longing for her that made me a little sad. Sad because we were once happy together. Sad because now she has a life which I am no longer a part of. Sad because one of the pictures was a classic picture of her that made me miss how pretty she is. So yeah, that sucked for awhile.
A customer came into the store and when I told her about the World Series she said, "Who cares? There are more important things out there to worry about like that weirdo shooting all those innocent people on the East Coast." [ed. note: this was pre-arrest of the two criminals]
Actually I do care.
It's little things like the Giants and World Series fever which allows you to escape to that little place that is able to comfort and bring a little happiness to your life. Though it may only last for a few hours it is still a way to escape all the pressures, decisions, drama, trauma and heartache that make human emotions so unique. Equally as unique is the 'happy place' some of are able to escape to.
Like I said below, I'm singing in a free concert today at Knuth Hall at SF State. We're hosting a High School Choral Festival which culminates in a concert where every school, including ours, performs. So yeah, peeps, it's a free concert. Then as soon as that's done, I'm seeing where the family is and going to celebrate a hopeful World Series Championship.
Oh yeah, my answer to that customer?
"I actually care."

Oh yeah, if anyone wants to hear my choir sing, we'll be performing in a free concert this saturday at SF State. The concert starts around 5 and it's in Knuth Hall in the Creative Arts Building on Holloway.
[We finally beat that punk looking 12 year old K-Rod
Some friends and I were talking over beer and chips late last week [official count 4 straight Ms, 1 gay M, 1 gay F] and the topic turned to pleasing women down there and the fact that one of the straight Ms was in the act and the girl actually told him to stop. So either he must have sucked, she takes too long to get there or she straight just wanted the main course. So the question that came up was:
Do you actually go down on each other if this is just a one night stand, hit it and quit it thing?
Also, going off of Boys Night Out Why do girls who have no @ss whatsoever wear those low cut pants? All it does is emphasize even more the fact that they have NO @SS! It's one thing that gets me.
Anyway, if you wanna leave me notes go down to the little bulletin board thing on the bottom left. Heck, leave me a note there anyways because I'm just trying to see if anyone other than myself and Voodoo actually read this!

[World Series Countdown > 2 days]
Ever have one of those BLAH days? Yeah, today was one. Even Chelsea's pretty face [that one teller at Serramonte Wells Fargo] couldn't cheer me up.
I'll drop knowledge later. Time to go home, down a few cold ones and watch Smackdown.
Perhaps I'll see some of ya at the staff meeting.

............... [No Tations has lost his voice]
When the GIANTS come to town..........YEAH BAYBEE YEAH BAYBEE YEAH BAYBEE BYE BYE BAYBEE!
This is for:
1) Ozzie Smith,the sh!ttiest hitting shortstop to ever make it into the Hall of fame, and Jose Oquendo, who started a fight with my man Will Clark, who, playing fundamental baseball, slid into 2nd with his spikes up thus inciting one of the greatest dugout clearing brawls of all time;
2) Again, Jose Oquendo, who broke yours truly's heart with a 3 run homer in the 7th game of the 1987 NLCS;
3) Joe Buck (condolences to your father) and Tim McCarver (who seemed pissed that he got champagned -- damn Tim they're going to the series!) Buck is a PHAT Cardinals MARK and McCarver didn't do anything to cover up his partner's stupid announcing.
4) You, him, her, us, them and me -- all those Giants fans who endured 100 loss seasons and disappointing playoff series...we're there baby let's see the orange and black reign supreme!
Where's the party at Saturday? I lost my voice last Sunday at Scores in San Mateo and consequently have been in the choir infirmary the past two days.
GO GIANTS
And to those bandwagon fans...welcome aboard...HAA! We knew you'd come to your senses sooner or later.

[pre game-2 thoughts]
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody's around...
Did I ever tell you how annoying the voice of the lead singer from 112 is? GADS, they're playing that song 'Cupid' right now and I just remembered how much I couldn't stand that one.
Anyway, one of my best friends from Alameda came by Serram[anila]onte yesterday and we had a cool little conversation over coffee/orange julius. And it's unanimous -- we're both restless. We're two young, talented, [not to mention good looking =P] men, degrees in hand, who believe in carpe diem but aren't walking the walk. Life is waiting and we're just not grabbing it by the horns. It's like choose door A or door B. There's no middle ground, no compromise. Oh what to do?
ECKS called me the other night (around 1 am). I guess she was bored or something and missed the melodious sound of my voice. Anyway, we had a nice (albeit polite) little chat for about 30 minutes and then *CRASH BANG BOOM* it came to a screeching halt. There was nothing else to talk about except for relationships. And I sure as heck don't care to know about who she's seeing/dating/messing with/doing...at least right now in life. Perhaps once I start seeing/dating/messing with/doing someone we can talk about it but right now it's not gonna happen. Part of it is sadness that she don't want it with me and the other part is envy because she's getting something while I'm getting nothing. All in due time I guess.
Go GIANTS baby, and

[Post Game 1 Jubilation]
If we were at Pac Bell we would be hearing the smooth voice of Tony Bennett right now...
Game 1 is over and it's "Bye-Bye Baby!" to the Cardinals. Yes, Virginia, our Giants are up 1-0 on the Cardinals, and sure enough, as if on cue, an almost fight happened tonight! Dust off the uniform people and get ready for an intense series. Herr Schmidt is up tomorrow and in the immortal words of Stanford Jennings ['88 Bengals who lost to our 49ers] "We got ta do it! We just got ta do it!"
Oh yes, to everyone, Happy Filipino American History Month! Dare I forget where I came from? Oh no, baby. Yours truly is half Waray, half Ilokano. Time to remember those who came and paved the way to make our lives just a little bit easier.
Do you know your own history? Ask your parents/grandparents and find out. Then make sure to pass it on to the next generation.
Till next time (and hopefully another Giants victory)

[Late nite/early morning pondering]
EVERYBODY JOIN IN:
When the Giants come to town, it's "Bye-Bye Baby!"
Every time the chips are down, it's "Bye-Bye Baby!"
History's in the making at Candlestick Park!
Cheer for the batter, and light the spark!
If you're a fan of Giants baseball, sing "Bye-Bye Baby!"
If you want to be in first place, call "Bye-Bye Baby!"
Listen to the broadcast on KSFO.
Turn up the volume, and hear 'em go.
With the San Francisco Giants, it's "Bye-Bye Baby!"
That's all. Good luck tonite G-Men.
More later,

[More Serramanila thoughts]
YO YO YO!
Alright so my GIANTS lost last nite. Big Hairy Armpit! (Steve Mariucci talk for 'Big Deal!') We're leaving the ATL with a split heading back to Pac Beezy, which everyone knows is not a hitter's ballpark (that is, unless of course, you wear a 25 on your back and happen to have 'Bonds' sewed on your uniform.) We're taking two and then it's bring on the CARDS. Also, look for my NINERS to break out of the funk and give the Rams a beating reminiscent of the olden days.
Asian American Jazz Festival this weekend. Check out the site. A really good sax player named Melicio Magdaluyo playing tonite! Sorry for the last minuteness but I just remembered. Melicio has played with big time players. He's one bad@ss!
Was pretty disappointed the other nite. Was chatting online to a former flame (a year and a few months removed) and why was my heart pounding and why was I shaking? Does it mean I still care for her? SH!T I thought I was over her already! Oh well...
Take care y'alls,
and it was nice seeing Voodoo and meeting Poi Dog and Stallion,
Til next time

[Musings from Serramonte Center]
GO GIANTS!!!!!!
So I went to Tai chi and Chamber Chorus with only one thing on my mind...how are the GIANTS doing? Just fine, baybee!!! Taking one in Atlanta is very crucial because they're guaranteed a split and then we take it back here to Pac Bell. Do I smell the NLCS vs. the Cardinals? Haven't seen that since Jose Oquendo broke my heart with his three run homer in the fifth game of the NLCS back in 1987. Oh yeah, Kurt Warner went out in the first quarter with a stupid broken pinky finger...and now I'm 0-4.
Tony Bennett's MTV Unplugged album is cool, laid back fun and I'm actually listening to it right now, the track with K.D. Lang, "Moonglow". By the way, two weeks ago, I visited Pac Bell Park for the first time and before the games start they play "I Left My Heart..." as the players are warming up. As my parents were busy buying me a hat [which cost $30 outrageous!] I looked out, awed by the everything that stimulates the senses when you go to a sports event, and as the song is heading to the climax...a man with grey hair wearing a yellows blazer walks out to the mound. The crowd roars...and lo and behold, it's Tony Bennett himself. That should have been a good omen but my GIANTS got beat. Oh well.
I'll talk to y'all later
Til then,
