[Big ups to Ms. Voodoo for the updated site]

Hey to one and all...I want to start off by recommending a cd, "Set Your Life to Music: For the Times of Your Life," by Philips. It's a mixture of many different European composers, including Mozart, Beethoven and Bach. I'm playing it here at work and it's really helping with the relaxation.

I'm 0-3 in my Fantasy League BUT the hated Rams are 0-3 as well so that's a fair bit of compensation. My Giants are ready to take the NL Wild Card and are giving the D-Backs a run for their money for NL West crown.

I just realized that "Clair de lune " by Claude Debusss has to be one of the most beautiful songs of all time. If you're not sure what song that is, watch Ocean's 11 with George Clooney and it plays at the end when Ocean and his 11 are watching the fountains at the Fellatio, I mean Bellagio Casino. Gorgeous.

I'll leave you with a plug for my friend's group...

IN STORES NOW....... Psychokinetics' "Sensory Descent" LP and "Let if Off" Vinyl EP !

Bay Area Hip-hop group "Psychokinetics" release two amazing albums showcasing an eclectic blend of innovative music featuring the astounding lyricism of emcees, Celsius 7 (Jacob Battersby) and Spidey (Domingo Reynolds) laced over the waaaaaaaaay tight beats and scratches of Psychokinetics' own Dj Ill Media (Mark Reitman) , Dj Denizen (Dave Gramarossa), and Champagne Fadey (Simon Rex). The Vapor Child, BAS One, Kristin Battersby, Myka, and Subverse, along with many other guest musicians round the albums out to make them truly classic! For more information on Psychokinetics, please visit their official website at www.psychokinetics.com and also check for them at all Amoeba and Tower Records, as well as other small chains around the U.S! And if they don't have them, request them there and at your local college stations! Thank-you!

Heigh Ho [Kermit thee Frog here]

Not much going on so I'm just gonna leave you with a poem from my friend who, in his inebriated state, managed to remember it. It is written by a homeless woman in LA...

''To be loved by everyone is little fun, unless you are loved by one.''
-Rose Donovan

Interesting aint it? Though Voodoo Child's "Big Bang Theory" still rates as one of the all time greats, I liked this one too.

My Giants lead by 2 games over the hated Dodgers.
My Niners are going for their second win this weekend.

Take good care of yourself....and each other! =P

[Musings from Hillsdale Mall]

I'm just happy at this moment. Natalie Cole's "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)" is just one of those songs for me that makes me just feel happy and want to dance around with joy. I dunno why, it's just so.

My friend introduced me to her sister who happens to be the Music Director for UCLA's upcoming PCN for 2003. Recent tradition has them writing new music for their PCN, which, for the past few years, has been a musical. It's actually very impressive for me to hear about them writing new music, something which I have dabbled with [okay, actually one song] in the past. I have never heard the songs so I'm reserving my judgement for the day that I'll actually go down and hear/see one of their PCNs. Still, that's pretty impressive.

The roomies and I went out for some partying last nite at Club Bas, and surprisingly, there were a fair number of women there, which dispels the myth [at least for one nite] that a party is never jumping unless the ratio of guys to girls is 10:1. I was invited to another party tonite, but I'm iffy on going because one of the people there is a former flame, plus she and clubs bring back bad memories. Furthermore I don't think I can go and not be able to resist the urge to watch her as she dances. But it sucks because I knew the birthday girl before I knew the former flame. I feel like jerky but oh well.

I'm gonna try and catch some of the fight tonite and tomorrow I'll be at Pac Bell Park watching my SF Giants make a run for the playoffs, all the while trying to keep up to date on the football scores.

So yeah,
till next time,

[In real time]

What's going on my ladies and gents:

The official results of last weekend's Loss BayGOSS trip...$400 spent and $00.00 earned. Yep, ole lady Blackjack took my harned earned paysos so the pockets are pretty empty. But, my niners won and I had a good time kickin' back with the boyz, specifically SWOLDIER CREW (Alameda Chapter.) Unfortunately, I stupidly started Plaxico Burress instead of Ed McCaffrey and ended up losing my first Fantasy Football game by about the number or points I would have earned with the latter guy starting. So my record right now is 0-1 but the season is young. My next game is against the San Jose WifeBeaters [Yahoo Fantasy Football Private League "Above and Beyond."

I dunno for some reason I'm going fantasy sports crazy right now. Baseball season's almost done and my Giants are tied with the hated boys in blue, the SoCal Dodgers.

The Chamber Singers had our first performance yesterday, singing a really pretty Mendelssohn piece for the 9/11 remembrance they had at State. Our next concert will be in October at State for the High School Choral get together. It's free but I'll remind you all about it.

I'm in my (European) Classical Music mode right now, I keep playing Volume I of some companies 25 Greatest Classical Songs of all time, including, Mozart, Beethoven's 5th, Sleeping Beauty Waltz and the William Tell overture (Lone Ranger theme song!) This will probably last me until Christmas with the Nutcracker then I'll probably get into my Standards mode.

Oh well, I'm at work (as always) and I'll keep you all posted.

Till then,
Make Mine Music

SORRY ABOUT THAT, MY BLOG THING WAS ALL SCREWED UP...

This is an old post but hey, just to let you know I'm not dead...

hey HEY hey!

How's everyone doing out there? Yah, it's just me and the 49ers game right now in my store, and to make it like I'm doing work I'm cleaning shelves. My niners look like crap, but they're winning and a win is a win. They need to spread the ball around a little more [*ed. note* as of this second they did an end around to Terrell Owens, about time!] and let the other guys get in. The Giants are putting double coverage on Owens so getting him the ball through the air is going to be tough. Teams will be doing that this year so the other players gotta step up. Also, Eric Johnson is on my fantasy league team so I'm also routing for him.

I got into the SFSU Chamber Singers again, and we're going on another tour to....*DUN DUH DUH DA!* the Pacific Northwest? Yeah, that's right, yours truly is heading up into the badlands of Shasta, Redding and R-a-gone (Oregon) specifically Eugene and the University of Oregon, for a choir festival. No scrills off my back though because the trip is totally paid for. I'm also singing in the University Chorus, and I've learned one Tai Chi movement, but I don't know the name of it.

That's all kids, more in the days to come...oh yeah, I'll be in Las BayGOSS this weekend so cross your fingers and knock on wood that I don't lose my savings account (all $5.00 of it).

Till next time,

Make Mine Music
