My heart went a flutter when my coworker, B, introduced his friend who looked like a spitting image of an ex: skinny, tall, dark brown hair, unshaven, sexy armani spectacle frames- even right down to dolce and gabana jeans... which should have prepared me for this:

"Oh he's gay"

I have such a gift for picking out the unavailable ones- unavailable to me that is.

Been home sick with the sniffles. Haven't done much lately. Made up my mind to work on the LSATs one hour a day, practice my violin one hour a day, spend less time with the black box and on the computer, more time with the cat and my friends. I've acquired a really bad habit of buying cds. I bought seven this past month. I usually average about seven a year.
Yesterday was beatiful. Nate and i went to Half Moon Bay for the day. It was beautiful. Eighty degree weather, walking downtown looking through quaint artist shops. I'm sure the artists will not appreciate my calling them quaint, but whatever. Later that night, we hung out at the Ritz Carlton, wandering through hallways and ballrooms pretending to crash parties there. Nate met a few of his musician friends at the bar. They reminisced about playing at the Ritz and how it's not really what it used to be. The hotel wasn't empty, but it wasn't it's packed capacity like it used to be. Still it was wonderful watching Lady Memphis perform her Ellla renditions with middle aged couples rekindling their fire at the ritz. Me? I'm just hoping my matches aren't damp when try to strike'em.
Mot and I are going to have the talk. Or rather I'm going to have the talk with Mot although I'm sure he can guess it already. We haven't spoken in a while and I've avoided the phone calls. My girlfriend Grace, who's a foodie is disappointed. She figures if she can't date a chef, she might as well have a girlfriend who does. Unfortunately, there just isn't the right stuff between Mot and I. I just haven't got it ifor him.
Yankees beat the Twins and take the series in 4 games. Very happy about that. We play the dead sox again. I hope the Astros lose to the Braves. Stinky Clemens shoulda stayed retired and be playing golf or something. Should be a very interesting october.
