BRO VERSUS HO

okay so here's the situation... let's say that you're friends with a couple, in which to some degree you're equally good friends, even though you really don't keep in touch that often with the GUY. They've been together for about 6 or 7 years or something like that, but have always had a rocky relationship... Now let's say that the GIRL is visiting your home city (which is across the country), and tells the GUY that she's staying with you, when in fact she is visiting another guy... let's call this other guy, JERSEY... so GIRL claims that her and JERSEY are just friends and that she has not ever messed with him or considered doing so... but because GUY is extremely possessive and would trip over GIRL's friendship with JERSEY, she decides not to tell her boyfriend her real reasons for going across the country...

it get messier...

so say that the GIRL has a cell phone in which one of the guys friends (let's call him SPRINT) works for... now GUY asks SPRINT if he could go into the cell phone company database and look up every single East Coast number that GIRL has been using over the past weekend. SPRINT gladly does it and gives GUY a couple of numbers, as well as additional information such as how often numbers were called, duration of the call, etc.

GUY is so upset (especially since many of the voicemails belong to guys) and leaves threatening (aka suburban gangsta let's fight outside of Mission Rock or Menconis) messages on the voicemails of those dudes, one of who is JERSEY... by the way, GUY doesnt call/contact PINOY IDENTITY at all, for reasons beyond our knowledge.

Did this all make sense??

So who is most at fault?
a) GIRL for lying to her boyfriend and sneaking around with Jersey, who is merely a "friend"
b) GUY for stalking his girlfriend, attaining phone numbers of her friends, and threatening them like a hoodlum
c) JERSEY for even hanging out with a "married girl"
d) SPRINT for unethically tapping into his company's records to find out private information
e) PINOY IDENTITY for not saying anything to anyone

Answer: ALL but E.

Hello? We're freakin 6 years out of high school. Why are still freakin engaging in drama?? If you're gonna cheat on your boyfriend, at least accept it if you get caught. If you're gonna stalk your girlfriend, admit that you're a stalker. If you're gonna go out with a girl who has a boyfriend, you're an idiot. If you're gonna be an accomplice to stalking and invading someone's privacy, you're only causing more drama...

WHY DO BAY AREA PILIPINOS ALWAYS HAVE TO BE SO DRAMATIC?

Does the age-old problem solver "BRO VERSUS HO" apply here? or should I just wash my hands clean of the situation??

TENSE GIRLS NEED TO GET LAID
The most tense girls are the ones that need attention... There's a definite reason why certain Asian/Filipina girls are so tense all the time. They don't have any sexual release and they're afraid to touch themselves to release it... That's why they walk around so angry all the time. That's why a lot of them get so wrapped up in their work/school/politics/community/etc. and forget to sometimes just RELAX, take a breather, and/or have a good time...

Take for example, there's this one Asian girl that's a senior at the university I work at. (Trying to be as anonymous as possible, but you all probably know what school that is)... anyway, she's really wrapped up in "fighting the power" and "changing the system" and is always so angry at institutions and "the man." Sure. Cool. I feel you. I AM pinoyidentity, remember??

HOWEVER, you can't be angry all the time. Let's go have a drink. Let's go to a party. Let's get you laid.

There's no need for people to be tense and passionate 24-7. They need to have fun once in a while... Life is only as serious as you make it. If you forget to look around once awhile, it might pass you by.

So here's my public service announcement for today:

GUYS: If you notice that there is a certain "Tense" girl/woman in your life right now. (a friend, a family member, a coworker, a colleague, etc.), go out, show her a good time, and get her laid. (If she's a family member, you might want to get a friend to perform these duties). You'd be definitely doing a favor to the rest of us guys, who in turn will not have to deal with her tension, attitude, or negativity. Plus. you'd be helping her in more ways than she realizes.

LADIES: If you ARE one of these tense women, then maybe you just need to "RELEASE." ...release stress, release emotions, release sexual fluid, etc. Just find a guy (any guy) cute or not, and hit that!! I promise you. it'll make you feel a lot better about yourself. it really will.

BREAKING THE WALL

Ladies and Germs... the Stallion is back and ready to RESTORE ORDER and spread the word like an epidemic! (oops.. that wasn't really appropriate huh??..) Anyways.. let's see.. it's been awhile so where do I begin? Well.. let's bring some life back into this blog.. My Sherlock Holmes' ass made yet another female observation after a night of clubbing on Saturday and I JUST MAY HAVE CRACKED the ASIAN/FILIPINA GIRL PSYCHE!!

I know I already posed the question why filipinas/asian girls put their heads down when they cross your path as if you're going to try and mack on them, but my recent observations have taken this to another level.. I have now learned that if you actually say hi in a "NON-THREATENING" manner with a semi-busy look on your face.. like "Hey.. how's it going?" looking slightly away without a serious look and without a smiley "i want to get in your pants!" look.... THEY MIGHT ACTUALLY STRIKE A CONVERSATION WITH YOU! As long as they see you as someone that's not just trying to pick up on them (well not right away anyways).. The best line to use at any club.. In fact, it works with all girls is.. "YOU HAVING A GOOD TIME?" Because with Asian/Filipina chicks.. you just need to BREAK THE WALL that they all put up and won't allow you to penetrate!!.. Pinoy Identity can break down the oppression of these woman from the model minority theory or to just being plain shy and taught not to be too aggressive around guys..Whatever the reason, I encountered almost ALL girls at the club, who did the head down thing as they entered, but as I said hello to see if they were on the guest list.. I got a smile, and at the least a pleasant response.. I tell you they are all FREAKS!! You just have to BREAK THE WALL and once you do... BOY... you are in for some gold at the end of the rainbow!! haha... Mr. Splash please confirm...

Now of course if you look like Brad Pitt or are what we call a "DEAL KILLER" (Kills deals for everyone else upon arrival) then this does not apply to you.. But if you are an average joe trying to hook up with an asian/filipina girl.. this may be your formula for success!

Man.. I should seriously put a book together and interview guys/girls all over the world about their observations.. It would definitely be interesting to see what people had to say!! Well.. let's leave it at that for now.. and see if anyone has any similar experiences.. but try it on some breezies the next time you go to a primarily asian/filipina party.. I might just be on to something..

STALLION IS BACK!

Did I get too serious again??? Sorry, but this time it's VOODOO'S FAULT!

Monday, December 02, 2002

So since VoodooChild asked us to write a serious entry about AIDS in honor of yesterday being World AIDS Day... let me attempt to do it during this 15 minute break I'm taking from writing a paper...

AIDS SUCKS...
i've known two people that have had HIV/AIDS my entire life...
the first person was someone who died of "cancer" and who I later found out really died of AIDS complications... in retrospect, watching this man die was probably one of the hardest things i had ever had to witness. while i may not have known he was dying from AIDS, i did know that he was deteriorating and that he was in pain... and most importantly, his family was in the most pain, which is something that i could never want my family to ever feel...
the second person was a man that i knew who had contracted HIV and was going on public tours educating about the disease... i kept in touch with him and he became a mentor to me. he taught me not to be scared of the disease and that life does go on... in fact, 15 years later, he still is alive...

both of these men were Pilipino... this scared me a lot, because as i began to educate myself more and more, i learned that F/Pilipinos have the highest incidents of HIV/AIDS out of ALL asian pacific americans... F/Pilipino account for 34% of all API aids cases in California, with "second place" being the Chinese with 11%. The SCARIEST statistic that i encountered was that the LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH for Filipino males from 25-34 is HIV/AIDS.

i think that this fact scared me the most because I turn 25 in 6 months. And I'm male. and I grew up in California. And most of family is still there...

before this turns into a 20-page paper, i think i'll cut it short, because i think that the facts speak for themselves...

Don't think that you're FREE from acquiring the disease. HIV is pretty colorblind...

At the same time, don't be SCARED of it... Don't NOT get tested because you're scared of getting the results... Believe me, knowing is so worth it. Without getting too personal, getting tested is the SCARIEST feeling in the whole wide world (whether youre sexually active or not), but it is also the most REWARDING feeling at the same time...

Be knowledgeable. Be safe. Be brave.

I'm off my soapbox.
