Is everyone busy... I browse through everyone's blog and no one is updating... not even damoomoo... Okay I am just as guilty.

Everything has gotten so hectic I can't even function... or I should I say "functioning on auto-pilot". I don't want to do anything that actually requires much thought or analysis... I have been doing too much of that at work. I am looking forward to the winter break, but it is SLOWLY approaching. It's one of those times when time moves so slow, yet you are SOOO busy. and i always thought that "busy" usually makes time fly!?

I organized our staff "winter retreat" (the politically correct way of holding a christmas party). This was only my second one ever attending so everything was pretty new. I hated planning this one. The "queen" who is actually retiring at the end of this month decides to not plan in order to make way for new blood... however everything I did she would comment, "well, this is how I would do it..." It didn't help that she was part of the planning committee and sits in the same office as me, so she knew my every move! And of course you have people that want a certain party, and I couldn't please everyone... I don't think I will plan this party ever again!

To top it off this party is traditionally the last friday before the break, which would be this Friday, but we had to move it up to the 1st of December in order to have queen bee still in town for her last "retreat". Thanks for the stress... wasn't worth it!

Starting my side business...
What started out as "helping out" the girl who used to live with us, ended up in starting my own business... yes you got it... I got sucked in to the PINK... I will be submitting my application to be a Mary Kay Consultant!!

I actually tried and bought the new skin care line and fell in love with it.. I attended one of the "sucker" seminars where you hear how successful these young ladies are even before graduating college, and the opportunities for a FREE CAR.. no it doesn't have to be the pink cadillac.. (it's actually a red VIBE or $375 a month)... Yes, I got sucked in...

So dear friends, your mothers, mothers-in-law, sisters, aunts.. I will be calling you for a trial facial... no obligation to buy just let me practice on you!!!
The truth is.. I commute an hour to work everyday and another hour back home. When the boys start school, I will not have any time to watch games, do homework, field trips, etc. I plan on cutting hours to part-time (if our finances allow me) And this may be a way to help me do just that. So I hope you will humor me when I email you in the near future!

Yes, it's that time of year again... another year older to add to the thirty "something" age range. Last night damoomoo asked "Are you where you thought you would be?". After a short moment I replied, "yes".

I have my own home which I wish I could keep cleaner and more organized, my own family to raise and care for but can drive me to pure exhaustion, a husband/marriage that can have it's moments of craziness... Although not the richest when it comes to money, savings, etc... I have the fundamentals to keep me and my family healthy and happy.

And although I may not celebrate this special day like I would in the past... it still is my day...and if you know me I'll continue to celebrate for almost the whole month!
