Hot, hot HOT!

Thursday, June 30, 2005
No, LG this is not a post about S.F's mayor, but it's just plain HOT out here. This morning I looked on my dashboard, and noticed that it said 68 degrees and it was only 7am! Then as I was driving home it was 99 degrees! Goood lawd, that's pretty hot.

John arrived a little after me, and he immediately got into haircut mode. He turned on the sprinklers to keep the grass looking green (and we don't end up being the neighbors that everyone smirks at!) He let the boys play with the water while he set everything up.

The haircuts were a struggle. Both boys were just fighting every run of the razor, especially when it touched near their neck and ears. Mio was the worse. I sat in the chair to hold him, but even then he fought and wiggled around. I felt like we were torturing him for having to hold him down the way we did.

They may not be the most perfect haircuts, but it will help keep them cool...do you put sunscreen on their heads? I wish they would wear hats, but that gets thrown off as soon as it's put on!

Dancing with the Stars

Watched it last night, and Joey from NKOTB got voted off the dance floor. Sorry Bev, but his "breakthrough" performance was a little too late. I thought it was funny how his coach got hella pissed when the judges told them that their routine "was not the Fox Trot". Now it's the Finals between John O'Hurley and Kelly Monaco. I have to admit that John is my favorite, but I admire how Kelly beat the odds and has shown a lot of improvement!

Time to go downstairs and spend a little quality time with my moomoos!

The bad mom award...

goes to me!

Yesterday was a tough day. My day at work was pretty busy, and with only 1/2 hour to eat lunch, I don't get to really enjoy my food, leaving me still hungry throughout the day. Since John (you know if he's using our real names...it's pointless to use nicknames now!) worked at the Arena I had to drive from Cap City all the way to V-town to pick up the boys from his mom's house.

I figured since it was just me, I would stop by the new Hawaiian restaurant near the house to buy some BBQ short ribs for dinner. I arrived there and the sign read: Sorry, We're Closed. I looked at their hours and they close at 5pm on Tuesdays! What a way to end my Charile Brown day!

I picked up the boys and immediately they began to doze off into their naps. I thought to myself, not cool, cuz now they will just have this burst of energy by the time we got home. And that they did. 2 1/2 hours after leaving my office I finally made it home---purely exhausted. I didn't even feel like nuking anything to eat, so I looked through the phonebook for delivery.
I ordered pizza, and it turns out that the "pizza man" is one of our neighbors (divorced father of 2) renting out one of the rooms.

The boys ate away, which was good, until Mio began running around with pizza sauce all over his hands. Out of the medium pizza, I actually only ate 1 piece... the boys ate the rest!! Then it was just downhill from there. I began to step over wet spots in the carpet where apparently Mio was running with his juice. Then stepping on Power Ranger toys, and not complete ones either, but pieces of them here and there.

I turned off the TV and ordered them to put their toys away in the playroom. They put them in the playroom, but still all over the floor. I showed them the box and told them to put the toys in the box... AJ resisted and continued to played. I grabbed him off the couch and landed him on the floor grabbing his toys and throwing them into the bin myself. And I just started to yell at them. (the rest of the night I felt guilty. I wish I just had the energy to sit with them and read/play. I didn't like ending my night yelling at my kids.)

I put them in the tub to give me some time to finish the laundry. With a pile still on my bed I had to finish their bath because their water was getting cold. Then it was a struggle just to get them changed and lotioned and powder, and straight into bed. Before I could even finish folding the "I want juice" cries began. Mio would not sit still after constant warnings so I put him in "timeout", which wasn't working either cuz he just kept playing with the lamp. I put him in another corner where he could face the wall. It actually worked for a minute!

I gave in, threw the folded laundry in a basket, went downstairs to get juice, turned out the lights and we were in bed by 10:30pm. Didn't hear John come home, and I even forgot to take out the garbage. Around 2 am Mio got really restless. I had to get up 3 times to apply a cold wet cloth over his "rash". This is his 3rd breakout this week. I put at the foot of the bed (away from all of us & the blankets) , and cracked open the window where he fell asleep. Me on the otherhand laid awake watching the clock turn to 3:45!

I am at work gulping down my French Roast coffee attempting to wake up!

I found a friend!!!

Tuesday, June 28, 2005
Last week during my AM break, I approached a fellow co-worker and asked if I could share the table under the shade with her. We got to talking, mainly about how work was going since she starting working here about a month after me. We decided to eat meet up for lunch later that afternoon.

So now I finally found a lunch buddy!!! yippeee...for me :)

She is about 5 years younger than me, newly married, and planning her "formal" wedding in September (sorry 'moomoo, they weren't looking for a DJ). She is half Malaysian and Vietnamese and Muslim.

We've talked a lot about her wedding plans, and especially how hard it is for her to find the right dress, considering she is about 4'11"!!

Today, she came by during her break to keep me company and brought over to share some fruits.

Charlie Brown Day
No it's not related to any performance, but today I seem to keep missing a beat! First the weather, I got up to start my regular routine. Dressed in what I was afraid would be too hot, but wore it anyways, and added slipper/sandals to "cool down" the overall outfit.

As soon as I open the garage to walk to my car, I could feel the cold wind. I was already running late so I didn't have time to go back inside and think of another outfit. Plus, I figured that by the time I reach Cap City, it would warm up at least 5 degrees.

As I reach the cosway, I noticed the dark clouds hovering up above, and only getting darker as I drove. I switched my radio from Air America (which was broadcasting from N.Y), to a local station to try and catch the weather. But for the 20 minutes I was listening, there was NO weather report! When I finally reached work it was even colder!! Now closer to the afternoon I'm not sure how much of the clouds have actually burned off! Maybe I should have watched the local news last night instead of Saturday Night Fever...naaahhh.

So I decided to get my coffee... my first sip I some how get a dribble down my shirt and now have a coffee stain on my chest. When I took a bite of the plum my co-worker got me, it squirted all over leaving more stains on my shirt and pants! I might have to go to the Union and buy a Hornet t-shirt to cover me! or better yet a sweatshirt to cover and keep me warm, at least a dark color just in case I'm in for more stains!

Then I check my email and feel so loved cuz I have (17 new messages) but most were send backs cuz I have hella old email addresses, and people emailing to clarify the date of our potluck/gathering (apparently in my email invitation for this SUNDAY , July 3rd, i put Saturday, july 3rd in the email)... Great.

so hopefully this will break my unkind chain of events... for all you locals, hope you can come and join us for our pre-fireworks gathering THIS SUNDAY in the double V!! We will have the oysters que-ing the whole day!

Little 'moomoos

Last night Damoomoo popped in a DVD..Saturday Night Fever. We watched the "Behind the Music" segment and skipped to the dances. We have our new line dance!! The highlight of this family moment was watching AJ dance!!

It was during John Travolta's solo dance where he does the stretched out arm point in a circle and the Russian squat/kick movemement. And there was our little one grooving along. Not as well coordinated but that boy can "emote". He closed his eyes a bit as if he were "feelin" the music, and swaying his whole body side to side. Then he adds his classic spins and hip thrusting moves!

Of course Mio was a little too busy eating his Otter Pop, but joined in every now and then to spin around and fall! I guess it was a bit exhausting cuz the boys came upstairs around 11:30 for bed! And that's early for them!

What I'm doing now...

Sunday, June 26, 2005
I am watching the last leg of the Degrassi Next Generation "Every episode ever made" marathon! Season Premiere is on Friday night!!

What not to DO...

Saturday, Damoomoo and I had a "date night"... more like I got invited to attend a wedding he was dj-ing without kids. The bride is a friend of a friend, but also happened to attend State with us back in the day. Anyways, she is just ultra nice, friendly, generous!

Too bad her "husband" showed up to the reception completely drunk. And not the fun drunk, but overly obnoxious angry drunk! He barely made it through the intros of the bridal party and their first dance, but that was about it!! He wasn't anywhere to be found during the 'special performance' and the couple didn't even get to have their money dance, bouquet/garter toss, parent's dance, etc.

What made it more sad was the affect the groom's actions had on her 2 children... they were so hurt by his drinking/drunken state. He even started arguing with the bride accusing her of being distance, and angered by her "smiling" at the event!! What the f@#*!!

Luckily the Hawaiian group that performed and of course DJ 'moomoo kept the crowd alive. Guests didn't leave right away, but stayed (I believe) to support the bride. Once again DJ'moomoo kep them going til the lights turned on... but we definitely had much to talk about on the ride home!!!

Oh and if you plan a special event of any kind... do not serve asparagus... the bathroom smelled the rest of night from all the guests!!! (AND YOU ALL KNOW WHAT THAT SMELLS LIKE!!)

Things you may not know about me!

Friday, June 24, 2005
I'm avoiding my real work so I thought I would blog... about me... I really enjoyed Ms. Roadrunner's top 50 list... I may not have that much, and I would probably lose count but here are some tidbits:

1. Born December 5, 1973 at George Air Force Base in Victorville, CA (in the desert!!) But never really grew up like an air force brat cuz my dad retired.

2. Lived my toddler years in Merced, CA then moved to Daly City when I was 4 years old.

3. I was an only child until my parents re-married.

4. My mom is beautician, but I don't know crap about fixing my own hair and make-up.

5. I grew up as a "daddy's girl", and because I could sense he wanted a boy, my goal in life was to do everything better than any boy!

6. My parents divorced when I was in 4th grade, and both re-married soon after. Didn't attend either wedding, though. Found out about my mom's re-marriage through the photographs. I am very big on communication now!

7. I tried to "run away" from home once but got lost about 2 blocks away from the apartment we were living at. ( I was only 8, okay!?)

8. I have never gone camping

9. I have a fear of getting hurt. This prevents me from going "gung ho" down slopes in the winter, and pursuing snowboarding. After 6 years of skiing I still ski down the slopes going all across the mountain then making a turn, and going across again!

10. I fear needles. Yes, I did have an epidural, well worth it, too... but everything leading up to that (and all the blood tests I had to do!) was just plain fearful.

11. I love my step brother/sister, and half brothers as if they were truly my "real family" (all from my mom's re-marriage). Although I do wonder if it would have been different having my "own" sibling.

12. I am one of around 36 grandchildren on my mom's side, which always made family oriented, and wanting to have a large family of my own. (My mom is one of ten children)

13. When I was little I was a member of the Brownies, Troop 214 and 1 year of Girl Scouts... still have the uniforms to prove it! "on my honor..."

14. I was in the newspaper (local) sports section for being the only member of our Tennis Team to beat YVHS. I was seeded #5 (top doubles), but got moved up that day to #4 single due to injuries on the team.... One of my proudest moments!

15. The next day, I was hit by a car crossing the street at school. Luckily the car was only going less than 5 MPH, but it was also one of the rare days I wore a skirt to school!! So lots of scrapes, messed up my back and knee, but did get my first year of college paid from the lawsuit settlement!

Wow, that was a lot... but I had fun reliving some of those memories, and thoughts!
Have a great weekend everybody...

Crash and Burn

Yesterday I took tablets of Safeway's version of Dayquil. It cleared my head from the congestion and allowed me breathe easier, however, it made me feel jittery, like I had finished a whole pot of coffee by myself. I felt as though my heart was beating faster, and I had to keep moving in order to stay calm. That same feeling also affected my appetite, and I went the whole day with only 5 bites of Chinese Food.

The bad part was when the "high" finally ended, I was hit with pure exhaustion. I had enough energy to nuke some of Costco's Chicken and Wild Rice, but didn't even have the energy/appetite to eat it.

So this morning I stayed away from the "drugs", but now I can't breathe and I can feel a headache slowly forming. At least my boss is away for the rest of the day and I can take my time in finishing my work (and read/write blogs)!!!

Our little journey...

Thursday, June 23, 2005
to the mailbox. For those who have seen our house can picture this. Around the corner is our mailbox which equals 3 houses. Yesterday that was the longest 3 houses I've walked!! Since Mio began to cry as Damoomoo left for his softball game, I decided to take the kids into the van and move into the garage, then I decided to take them to the mailbox for our mail on their bikes!

AJ immediately ran for his Power Ranger helmet & pads and claimed the "big boy bike". But not without requesting that "Mommy, you have to hold me, 'kay?!" Of course I would I responded. Then Mio got to pick out his bike. With helmets on... they looked awfully cute by the way! we set off for the mailbox.

Since AJ is not quite accustomed to the big boy bike I had to make sure we went slowly, plus the fact that our neighborhood doesn't have sidewalks, we were in the street. To avoid any traffic I made them stay as close to me as possible. Now here's the problem... Mio is like a pro on his little trike bike and was speed racer. A few times I left AJ alone just to run up and catch Mio who kept swerving towards the middle of the street!

We finally got to the mailbox, and I took the time to stretch my back from being hunched over, and we headed back with the same routine. We met one of our another neighbors and their little dog, Angel. Nice family, but the dad smokes on the porch, and it carries onto our side.

I had the boys walk their bikes up the driveway, a little of a challenge, but we did it. We enjoyed the rest of the night eating Cheetos and watching Dodgeball! And talk about AJ being a sponge, he can recite a lot of the dialogue!

Thank my lucky stars!!

Of course for the plain fact that I have healthy family, a home to shelter them, food to nurture them, and all that good stuff... but with the latest happening at the studio on Monday, I have to be thankful that Damoomoo's ex-girlfriend, Ms. Thailand wasn't that crazy!

A little background. When Likha travelled to Malta, Damoomoo expressed his feelings for me, that were very obvious (he saved the picture and glass flower!) while we were on our stop over in Rome. I told him "I only like you as a friend". And he didn't speak to me for months. He began to see someone else that progressed to something quite serious. (I knew it wasn't right because she never showed up to performances, and didn't dance at the Christmas party they attended together) I jumped in knowing it was wrong because he was with someone else, but the actions were quite mutual. He told me they broke up, but I found out they didn't. She found out that we were seeing each other and all hell broke loose.

My mom kept warning me to be careful, and make sure she never knew how to find me. It scared me that she called me one night to "break it all down", although I tried not to let that fear show in our conversation.

Well, you know the end of the story, but thank goodness she wasn't out to hunt me down like that!! Yes there are crazy people in this world, but thank goodness not EVERYONE is that senseless.

What sucks even more...

Is coming back to work not a 100%!!

On my way to work this morning I began to feel light-headed, and driving without really thinking as I should be. And as soon as I get in the office I feel queezy and my head is all clogged up!! I feel a bit dazed, and probably look like too!

I cannot hock up a "loogie" just because I don't know how, and end up gagging on my mucus which makes me sound even worse!

Now I have to work on all the things I left behind and work twice as hard because my boss is going on vacation next week for a whole week and she is trying to get stuff done so I don't have to deal with all the students ranting and raving over why they didn't win this or that!

Calgon take me away!

Being sick sucks

Tuesday, June 21, 2005
Yes I got...actually had to stay home for the second day today. It sucks cuz the first day my body ached so much that I didn't have any energy to do anything. Then as my cold progressed it has now grown into sinus headaches and stuffiness. I've been blowing my nose so hard that my ears are plugged and even as I sat hear reading/writing the blogs I can't hear very well, and beginning to feel light headed.

Being home makes me wish that we could afford to have me work only part-time. I miss having Fridays off during the summer, although I do get off at 4, I still have to be at work at 7:30. I miss my boys but know deep down that I am not one to stay home... I need to feel like I am contributing to my spending money.

Well having our new "roommate" should help us out a bit financially... and with her schedule she is hardly home when we are, but home when we are not... which helps us make the house looked "lived in" during the day... sure beats having a large dog!

Well now I'm feeling weak, and need to rest up so I have enough energy to work tomorrow... lots to do when I get there!

Welcome... (take two) try the link again!

Saturday, June 18, 2005
Guess who is back cuz he felt out of place, not knowing wassup....

Welcome, to Damoomoo (www.damomoo.blogspot.com)

So hook him on your links and show him some luv!!! Especially if you have a wedding, debut, or special event that needs an DJ (aka money to feed our kids!)

Really random thought

Thursday, June 16, 2005
What is the scientific name for mutah.. and no, "eye booger" doesn't count!

Father's Day...

Just around the corner... and I am still clueless on what to get! Luckily Damoomoo will be working tonight so the boys are going to shop for our presents/cards! I hope it doesn't rain too hard tonight cuz the mall we're close to doesn't have any covered parking!!

This rain which should be starting sometime today really sucks! I went from my nice new summer dress and sandals (feeling quite cute actually)... now back in black and boots !!

I started to watch Dancing with the Stars last night. I am hooked. FINALLY I have a show to watch on syndicated TV!! I like that Rachel girl. Where is she from? I would love to learn how to dance like that... my favorites are the Tango and Quick Step.

Mommy's Day Out

Wednesday, June 15, 2005
While Likha was out performing in B.C, a former co-worker and I met up at the double V for a day of shopping!! We've been living in the double-V for 2 months now, but we really never got a chance to go through the WHOLE outlet area primarily because of the heat and the 2 boys lack of interest beyond the Jelly Bean store and KB Toys.

So on Saturday it was just me and my friend... We would park in a central area, walk/shop on one side then cross the way and walk/shop, and back into the car to another spot.

My shopping budget was around $100, and here's what I bought:
Gap : Pair of denim capris on sale for $15 and a maroonish A-line skirt on sale $15.

Ann Taylor: 2 summer dresses on sale for $30 each

Reebok: Pair of flip flops which we bought buy 2 get 1 half off, so I only paid $8!

I really like the dresses I found at Ann Taylor cuz they are nice and summery, and I can wear them work!!

We had some lunch at Chili's and then headed to Target for our "various items" There I bought 2 necklaces to match my new dresses.

Shopping was fun. Hearing the latest in Comet-ville was great!

I hope all my friends will be able come and see the house soon.. I need advice on decor!!

One Question...

Where's my All-dressed Ruffles AND Hedgehogs!!! hehehe

Reading everyone's blog regarding the weekend performance in Vancouver has made me sooooo jealous that I didn't go!!

NEW KID STUFF...

Yesterday Damoomoo had AJ show me a "new trick". He is basically copying things that either my mom or the babysitter says, so think Tagalog accent with high intonations when he says "huh".

Tignan mo, huh...
Making too much noise, huh

He had us hella cracking up that I had to call my mom. And of course Mio had his version, too, except his was more like this:

mmmmm mmmmm moo, huh...
mmmmm mmmmm noise, huh!!

I guess you'll have to ask them to show you in person...

Sulking

Tuesday, June 14, 2005
Yesterday I spoke to Ninong UPSer and asked about the trip. I had to sulk and couldn't help but try to convince Damoomoo to go back to dancing at least next year. The sad part is I kept using his softball nights against him, but he still won because he claims that D.O.M will not play in D.C anymore!

My solution... cooked dinner and went to Linens n Things to stock up on some bedsheets. We are gearing up for potty training which equals accidents in the bed and constantly replacing/washing the sheets. Up to this point we were working off 1 set of sheets for our "new" Cal King bed!

We went a little nuts at the store and bought floor pillows with back support for the kids (but we admitted that we'll end up using it, too!). Plus with those in our family room we moved the papasan chair to our room = reading space (now I have to find a good book!)

We also hit Target. And as always walked away with more than our initial item. I stocked up pantyliners (3 for $6!!), we bought our loofas (our original reason), and imitation light saber/laser gun sets for the boys. We have been on a hunt for light sabers but everywhere I've gone they are sold out... so this set had to do. Probably for the better, though... it kept them busy for the rest of the night!

My heart sinks!

Friday, June 10, 2005
Yesterday morning I felt a bit off. During a small window of time alone in the office I went to check the my daily reads of blogs. No one has updated...

EVERYONE is off to Vancouver... without me! I was sad. This is the first "big performance" I will be missing while on my break from Likha. (yes, Mrs. Luzon, I admit I miss it!) I especially felt the emptiness cuz I was work, when I should have been at the airport, on a airplane, in a different country!!

Side note: When I was a little girl, I would always dream of being a flight attendant just so I could be at the airport all the time and travel. I wanted to be the one leaving and arriving instead of being left behind.

Apparently my day just got a little worse. As I was driving home I noticed a shadow on my dashboard. It was a crack on my windshield. Darn nabbit!!! When we got a chance to actually look at it, I remember hearing something hit my window. I had a feeling it was a pebble, too! So now we have to replace it cuz in just 2 days it has grown a lot. Another expense... maybe it's good that I didn't have to pay for a flight... NAHHH, I still would have preferred the flight at least I wouldn't have to beg Ninong UPSer to bring me my hedgehogs and All Dressed Ruffles!!! I don't care what you gotta do... just bring it!!!

Yuckie!

Wednesday, June 08, 2005
Woke this morning to the radio alarm. Although I'm no longer in the Bay Area I still listen to bay area talk radio, so I get "rain this morning". Thinking that it's just in that I area I press snooze.

When I finally wake up and look out the window (long existing habbit to check the weather) I noticed how gloomy it was... jumped in the shower as quietly as possible and tuned in on local radio waves... "rain..." !!! YUCK...

I knew with this surprise rain would come many accidents so I tried to hurry out of the house. Walked out to heavy drizzle... as I got closer to the Cosway the heavy drizzle turned to rain!!

This kind of weather change can get me sick! (knock on wood!)

Work
I'm editing our files - handwritten first! So now on my 2nd day of this task I've developed a second blister on my "resting finger". You know the bump you get on the finger that supports your pen/pencil while you write. Well, I hold my pen with 2 fingers and the thumb, placing that bump on the finger next to my pinky. I think my long nails caused a second bump to form...

Maybe I should ease on my grip... Maybe I'm just not used to writing all this down on paper!!! I want to use the computer, but boss lady insists on writing it ALL down first!

He speaks!

Tuesday, June 07, 2005
If you have been reading along the past 2 years you will know that we have been worried about Mio's speech. Up until he turned 2 years old in late March the only words you could really make out were Mom, and Dede (sp?)

Well, today is June 7th a little over 2 months after his last birthday and he now the most madaldal (translation: talkative) guy you ever met! He is counting to ten (not always needing your help for the next number, either) and can say his name... well sort of:

MM: What's your name? My name..
Mio: issh (translation: is)

Mio: eee-y-ooo (translation: first name)

Mio: Ya-ya! (translation: last name)

The best part is to say "Good Nite, Mio" and get a "goo ni.. Mom!" and even an "I yub yoo, Mom". With the cutest puppy eyes looking right back at me accompanied with a "monster kiss" (that's the one special thing I share with my kids, daddy doesn't even know how to give one!)

What's cute is hearing him calling for kuya which comes out more like, "iya". But you can tell he already has 2 different ways of calling him.. Angry = I'm telling Mommy on you, or Happy= come on let's keep playing hiding under the blanket and making me laugh!

My baby is a baby no more... but will always be my "bunso"... until we decide to try for a girl!

Break a Leg!

To all Likha Vancouver Bound peformers/musicians...
BREAK A LEG! I am sad that I will be here working, while you strut your stuff with our neighbors up north (home of this year's Miss Universe!)

And to KP as well, especially Princess Roadrunner! Knock 'em dead!!!

Remember, the person in front is always right, and EMOTE, diva!

Playing with the Big Boyz

I don't know if I ever mentioned this but when it comes to toys and stuff and my boys, AJ will become territorial with "his" stuff, and even though we get 2 of everything, Mio will always want THE ONE that AJ has.

Well the other day it happened with the "big boy bike". It was handed down to us from my nephew, Baby Einstien, with training wheels and all. When we first moved in AJ had a little spill on the bike (nothing that hurt, he just fell over while trying to get on/off). Ever since then, even after buying him his own Power Ranger helmet and pads set, he has not gotten near the bike. "I'm scared!".

Well, Mio, the fearless butt that he is.. rode it with a little support from Daddy. Oh boy, as soon as we started to get all cheery for Mio, AJ intervenes and starts to yell at his brother. "Mio, that's a big boy bike. Go to your baby bike! That's Kuya's!" We tried to tell AJ that he was scared of the bike so we'll let Mio ride it. And that he did. Mio was peddling around the garage, even backwards! Fearless I tell you!

Last night, AJ finally gave in and took back his big boy bike. They looked really cute wearing their bike helmets! I guess we better start looking into getting our own bikes soon!

Quick parent update: being that pants I wore when I was 3 months pregnant are getting tight, we decided to make use of Damoomoo's $80 purchase through Craiglist and worked out in our garage!!! Yes for $80 he got a nice practically new workout bench w/ the leg attachments and chest support thingie, long vertical bars for those bench presses, and all the weights!!! My arms feel like jelly today! He even pumped some air into the exercise ball I used while I was pregnant and showed me how to jump rope... After all these years, I can't believe how hard it is to jump rope! Well, having Mio trying to copy you wasn't making it any easier, but I won't put ALL the blame on my kid!! hehehe We have another "date" tonight to work on the abs and legs. half hour to forty-five minutes isn't too bad.

Party Moomoo Style!

On Sunday (as if Saturday wasn't enough parties), we celebrated Damoomoo's niece's Christening. The reception was held at Rancho Solano Golf Course Clubhouse. Very nice space that can actually fit up to 500 people...hmmm?!

Anyways it was really nice to the moomoo family, especially the newest addition, Kai, who we always have seemed to miss at the other gatherings. He is a handsome fella!! Another moomoo heartbreaker that one!

The boys especially enjoyed the party. Since we arrived early to set up the DJ stuff, they spent their time looking out the window, letting Mommy take a lot of pictures (they even hugged each other for one pose w/o me telling them!), and of course singing on the microphone! Note: I don't know how I'll ever get the pictures posted on this blog, but remind me if you are ever at the double-V!!

Of course Damoomoo busted his old school beats that got everyone dancing! His aunt who teaches ballroom and her sister even joined him for his favorite --- Saturday Nite Live routine!! That was crowd pleaser!

The party by late afternoon, but we decided to stay home while Damoomoo played softball. I was tired and I the thought of having a double-header that night was not appealing. They lost their 1st game so they just had dinner! However, home was not that much easier. Mio got cranky, I was sleepy, AJ just wanted to watch his Spy Kids all night without eating dinner. The AJ/Mio storm hit their playroom once again leaving me "angry". So, I finally turned off the TV brought them upstairs to brush their teeth and hop into bed.

I think I fell asleep before they did, but by the time Damoomoo got home we were "all out!".

Long Weekend ends

The end to our long weekend... I was thinking that I should clean/do laundry that I didn't get to do the day before.. Reality... I lagged and the laziness just overcame.

We ended meeting up with Ninong UPSer and the Nurses at the mall, then checked out their new pad in V-town. AJ watched Madagascar again the Nurse kids while we shopped and rode the Merry-go-around, twice.

By the time we got home, it was time to get ready for bed... oh well, a long weekend of not much!

Note: My summer schedule has started: In by 7:30 and Out at 4pm! Much better on the commute! Only have 1/2 hour lunches though, and my boss also comes in early which is why you won't see the updates as often!!!

It is getting hot in Cap City right now. Friday we had our staff picnic... HOT! I was already worn out by the time I had to go back to work. Luckily my boss wasn't that into working hard either! As hard as it is to work in a 2 person office, at least the other person is pretty cool and socialable. She has the same sense of humor as me which is great.

I sat with some of my Fin Aid co-workers, tough crowd, very dry sense of humor. But very nice folks. Work is good to me. I got my first paycheck with my childcare re-imbursement deductions. My take home pay still ended up higher than what I was making as a Comet... Cool... then I got paid for teaching Coco!!! SCORE...

With my little extra mula I treated my hubby and his mistress (UPSer) hehehee to some Outback!!! I was trying to buy me a ticket to Vancouver to watch their show, but it's too much!!!! Oh well. I guess I can stay home... Damoomoo doesn't even have a gig next weekend like he originally said...hmmmm.

Well, we are going to watch Top Gun with Surround Sound! Better make use of the work!? happy weekend folks
