SICK AGAIN !!
little CUD2 is sick again.. coughing up a storm and gagging on all the mucus that wants to come out, but won't because he doesn't know how to "hock" it up (i have the same problem so I can relate), so i'll just throw everything I have eaten in the last hour and wait until everything... even the yellowish-green secretions called stomach fluids come out!!

WHEEWW... now you know how my last two nights have been... then you have big brother who is being a baby cuz all the attention is going to the little brother! Plus, dealing with his cough and cold isn't any easier because he absolutely... I MEAN ABSOLUTELY will not take medicine... Yes, i've tried to put it in his milk, i've tried slowly dropping it on the side of his mouth, i've tried sqeezing his nose, pinching his cheeks... end result... the 1 tsp of Robitussin is making my skin all sticky because it was all just spitted out!

So needless to say we have a lot of extra laundry to do because it has either just gone through my regular daily use, or it has puke or robitussin all over it!! Oh, and let's not leave out the fact that I have not had a decent (as it could be with two little ones) night's sleep this whole week!!!

SUCK IT ALL UP!!
I gotta get out of this rut because beginning tomorrow night I must FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS... on my performance for Sunday! I got to stay on that darn bench while balancing three glasses (1 on my head; 2 in my hands)!!! I need to save my energy level for a very packed weekend of rehearsals, yelling, and changes to choreography that had been practiced for months. but we gotta do what we gotta do in order to look like we are worth $25 a ticket!!

MICKEY MOUSE
I just had to add that he, the Mouse himself... is magic... When I worked on Saturday during the visit... it was so fun just watching all the kids and parents go wild and crazy for a chance to shake hands with Mickey and Minnie... Okay, I almost cried when I got to meet my family at the front and join them in the pictures!!! Even Mickey thinks my kids cheeks are cute and cuddley!!! hehehehe

Moonlighting
Okay working at the Mall is usually a "I need something to do during the summer" when I was in high school, and "I want a cool place to work" when I was college. But now... as a mother of 2 only working half-time at a "bills paying job", working at the mall equals:
* Time to Get Away * Where can I really use the discount * Need my own food and toll money !!*

So, to cover all those bases... I have chosen.... THE DISNEY STORE !! Aside from working at the Lady Footlocker as my very first job in high school this is the only Retail/Mall working job experience I have! Only this time, I became part of a great group with the chance to open 1 of 10 "Castle Stores" around the nation!! If you ever get a chance to see one... GO!! it is unlike all other Disney Stores... Mickey just calls out to you (almost literally) to come in... and we Cast members get you to spend spend spend!!! hehehehe

Over the past weekend we worked HARD to get everything ready for opening day. And through those days, I have already mentally spent over $250 !! And that is including my discount!!

I will be taking my boys to visit Mickey and Minnie when they help us open the store at our official Grand Opening Celebration! This will be their first real exposure to Disney in preparation for Disneyland or Disney World vacations!! CUD went to Disneyland once but was still too young to really know anything and enjoy the experience!

I hope during this blog you can share your favorite character or most memorable Disney experience!! My fave character is GOOFY... cuz he's, well... goofy! Most memorable experience will always be Grad Nite with all my friends from High school, and was pretty much the last time before we all went our separate ways.

This year for Halloween.. CUD will probably be buzz lightyear...DJ Brahma (i'm still trying to convince him..) will be Woody, GIMB2 will be stitch, and I will be Lilo!! let's hope it works out!!

Vacation Blues
The best thing about our vacation... No babies to wake us up in the middle of the night, and we got to sleep in until 12noon!!

The worse thing about our vacation... Coming back to reality!! But seeing my babies was worth it... I must admit, I MISSED THEM A LOT!!

We actually had a lot of fun just chillin' around the outlets, mall, and the pimps n hos convention spots. I was telling someone that it is amazing what people wear (or not wear) to this thing! Give me a year, no food, and a daily workout with Ahhhnold I will be there!! yeah right?!

You know you are old when you are partying with your cousin (who you used to change diapers for) and is celebrating their 21st birthday!! So you can guess that we spent our nights at the clubs in Vegas... okay, not like Weekenders party scene, but a bit more mellow and ending at 2am!!

We ate a lot!!! not even buffets, but at other places all the time... I wonder how much food is consumed in Vegas in one day? hmmmm... too much thought for that one!! I'll move on...

Babies still sick
While we were gone, I called or got called with daily updates about CUD. Oh, he had a little vacation of his own in Pittsburg!! My aunt and uncle who watched him are now suffering from CUD withdrawal.

Now GIMB2 on the otherhand, stayed at home with Nana and Lolo and developed an ear infection! Okay, he is my second child, but CUD never had an ear infection!! Then Nana him apparently just swapped illnesses because they both ended up ill!! We did consider coming home early but it was close to impossible to find a flight on the monday of a three day weekend... with all the pimps n hos returning back also!!

So we found one of his ninangs who was able to stay with him for the day, and bring her daughter as a playmate!! I am so thankful for family!!! Well, today, he is getting better, and clearing up all that flemmy stuff! Thankful for amoxicillian, too!!

BOOKS
I was political science major in college... HATED IT!! and never really stayed afloat on current issues too often... Then I started watching FOX ... particularly Hannity and Colmes and the Donahue show (the more political one!) and really got into this right wing versus liberal argument! I do consider myself to be a liberal (closer to moderate, now that I am a mother!!)

Anyways, it is just funny watching these arguments come out and all these "crazy" people come out with books like "slander" and "treason". then my hubby picked up a book by Al Franken (comedian) called "LIES, and the liars who tell them". It had a comedic yet very critical view on the publicized viewpoints of our conservative reporters such as bill o'reilly, hannity, rush limbaugh, etc.

So, if you are looking for a different view point with a little humor, I would suggest reading this book... so far it is the fastest pace I read since Harry Potter!!

Oh, and one of these days, i'll write about my views on this recall circus and the war!!
Until then... it's my daily routine that I must focus on!!! Diapers, bottles, naps, baths, diapers, bottles, tantrums, runny nose, diapers, bottles, medicine... GET THE PICTURE?!
