Six Flags Marine World in Vallejo
I have finally purchased a Season Pass along w/ the season parking sticker! Is that a gung ho mom or what! Although I pretty much got my money's worth at this point.. I think I've had enough of all the junk food and shaved ice! But boy, it is hot, and Cud has gotten at least 3 shades darker... as for me, the tan is there, but still not that dark!!

So far, our trips to the Marine World must always consist of the TRAM, the train ride along the lake, the Ski Extreme Show, Feeding the Lorikeets, Tiger Splash-something or other, Dolphin show, and Shark Experience. The last being the place we spend most of our time. We enjoy just poppin' squat and watch all the different fish and sharks swim by. Cud actually talks quite a lot during this time as well (although it sounds Vietnamese)!!

What has made these trips to marine world kinda fun... it's mainly just me and Cud. no daddy or GIMB2. This was our time together! Something for only us share. It made having this month off well worth it. Unfortunately, it seems like everytime i have gone this month has fallen on a tuesday.. which always meant rushing home to make practice in the city by 8:45pm!! Now i have officially become addicted to Mocha Frapps at Starbucks!

Time to Get in Shape
well, showtime is on the 28th.... and I am still not back to the weight i would have hoped... so i searched for a little help. I joined curves for women!! I've gone twice, and actually like it a lot ! it's a short circuit program that hits just about every area of your body, and it uses hydraulic equipment so you are not fiddling with weights! Best of all, I can complete my whole workout in 30 minutes. So, my schedule is working out every Mon, Wed, and Fri at 6 in the AM!!! i am home before hubby even wakes up, and still have time to shower!

i'll let you know if i actually lose any weight or inches, I get weighed and measured every month!

It's Showtime
Well, it's that time again for our big show at the palace of fine arts. This year we are only having one show on a sunday, and our counterparts from vancouver, canada will be joining us! I have moved up in the singkil suite from veil, to fan, to umbrella girl!!! and i don't have a spanish dance (thank goodness), but i was casted for a barrio solo in pandanggo sa bangko which is basically balancing 2 glasses (1 in each hand) and 1 glass on my head, while dancing on a bench with a partner!!! Thank goodness he choreographed it to be really short!!!
for more info see our website at www.likha.org. We will also be at pistahan in San Francisco on sunday august 10th!!!

well, we finished our final tuesday practice, with probably extra days still to be scheduled, but for now my tuesday night are finally free again to stay at home with my BABIES!! for now, i must get some sleep and rest because i have an early workout at 6AM!!!!

okay, it's 4 in the morning and i can't sleep... maybe it's the heat, or the headache i suffered through all day because of coffee withdrawal. but i decided to make my sleepless night a little more resourceful instead of laying on the floor watching my babies sleep (& listening to my hubby snore!)

many things have actually been going through my lately, since i have had this month to just do nothing but babysit!! I CANNOT BE A STAY AT HOME MOM! well, actually, maybe i can, but i would have to my own place, and that place would be helpful if it were one-story! otherwise, airconditioning would be nice! I thought my one month off would be a little more prodcutive, but no... i have gotten more lazy from the no time contstraint and heat...it feels like a 100 degrees inside the house with 2 babies around, one needing to be carried 90% of the time.

so my little furlough from work has consisted of bottle feedings, otter pops (which includes the clean up afterwards), fighting off all the ants, diaper changing, potty training, and TOY STORY all day long!!

baby fact brain fart:
* How does a baby know that you are the mommy/daddy?
At the age of GIMB2 (almost 4 months) they are still developing eye sight. they only see black white and red i think?! but yet when it comes to comforting he knows it's me. what makes it more funny is watching him look for the "boob" when he is hungry, even when he is carried by men!!!

I realize that sometimes I am the only one who can put the baby to sleep, a little "shooo, shooo", rocking and patting on the leg...and done! oh yeah, no heat either...

I realize that my babies are growing up really fast. GIMB2 is already turning over onto his belly, although he hates it once he is there! CUD has gone from bottles, to otter pops, to mac & cheese, and mushrooms for his daily regiment, and now using the potty...

POTTY TRAINING
is not easy! i've got him to say "pee pee" and "poo poo" but only after the fact! My mother-in-law bought a pack of pull-ups...in minnie mouse pink! so, the sight of brahma when he walked thru the door was classic when he saw his oldest sone wearing pink! well, we fixed that problem and bought mickey mouse blue...

what every mom should know
the rocking side step... you know you've seen it done, and it almost becomes instinctive that you do it when you hold a baby in the laying down cradle position. i've decided to change it a little and add a little folk dancing practice.. waltz, cross waltz, and the side/back step one (forgot the name). Hopefully, my sons will follow in the footsteps are there daddy... singkil prince, kalinga/salidsid soloist, and instrumentalist!! Does the talent ever end!!!

Speaking of following footsteps: CUD is a real HAM!!
he will do something to gain your attention... and then he will sing/yell to gain your laugh or applause. And when he sees the camera, watch out cuz this guy got the pose!! Now, I know he is a LIKHA baby!!

okay so it's been a month... sorry!! raising two infants is not easy, especially if i need time to sit at the computer!! For this whole month a july i should be able to seek in a blog or two while the little ones are asleep at the same time!!
I am off for the whole month since i work on a campus and the work is slow... w/ all the budget cuts, this was the only way they could keep me safe from any cuts! so, i'm not complaining, except i could use the break sometimes!

unfortunately duty calls already, as i can hear kuya baby crying!!!! gotta pop in toy story...

be back soon!
