Things have finally slowed down since school is in summer session. Now that we got the Scholarship Ceremony out of the way, we are working on the big fundraiser----The Golf Tournament. It is the only fundraiser for the Foundation only because that is all it really needs to meet their fiscal goals... Apparently this tournament attracts some pretty big wigs around Co Co County. I just want to drive the golf cart!!

Today marks the first day for Cud to be at a babysitter. She was referred to us by one of Brahma's friends who take their kids there as well. The sitter seemed really nice and looked like she pretty much had it together. They converted there small in-law into the day care area, with books, toys, chairs, cribs and play area. Her backyard was nice and big for the kids to run around. She was legit, and we pretty much agreed on everything on how I wanted my son to taken care of... Routine, Routine Routine... that's is the answer!

She will also be helping me with the potty training! YIPEEE ;) cuz all i have been able to accomplish his him grabbing the seat and putting it around his neck! Their day includes lunch, snack, nap time, arts and crafts and reading time.... and of course play time! Oh, what a relief to finally have a babysitter. All i have to do is bring a week's worth of diapers and clothes and she takes care of the rest... healthy food and snacks, and milk!! not a bad deal!! But this doesn't come cheap my friends... $350 for part-time which Cud is in right now... and $450 for full-time... which he start in August when my work schedule changes..

To get Cud prepared in going to someone else the next morning, I let him help me pack his bag. I packed his bottle in his Buzz Lightyear lunch bag and had him carry it... He already saying "schoo.." and waving bye to us last night... he was already walking to the garage door! So, this morning I told him that he had to get ready for school, and sure enough when he went downstairs, the first thing he did was grab his lunch bag and he was ready to go... didn't even take a second look to say good-bye to grandma!! I swear I am about to cry...I bet I'll be a wreck when I actually start him in pre-school and kindergarten!!!

Blessings in life don't come alone... I finally got my settlement check from my past employer... the staff at OACC sued the Board of Directors for unlawful termination. From the finaly settlement.. I got a good share... at least enough to pay off my damn VISA bill from college (stay away from those promoters..just get the free shirt!!!), the Chevron bill that Brahma and I share, and still have a comfortable savings again! I just have to remember not spend too much in one place... I just want to buy a couple of outfits for the summer/work, and a pair of sunglasses! Maybe even convince Brahma to take us for a trip to Vancouver!!!

Finally, with all the budget cuts to the schools, I was lucky enough not to be affected. However, there still may be a way for me to actually reach full-time status, and really think about longevity here at the college! Finally, a workplace I am not worried about... It may even help me get back to school and get a teaching credential as a fall back! Unfortunately that will all have to wait until next year either spring or fall of 2004,.. we will have to wait and see....
