Work has been hectic as ever.... My time to take maternity comes closer and closer, and it just seems like more work just keeps piling up! My original work schedule was Mon and Wed 10-3pm; and Tues and Thur 10-5pm. However, since the holidays I have been working everyday 10 -5pm! I have even given up my free fridays! Okay, so it's not the full-time schedule that most of you people have, but I am working on hourly basis with no benefits and over-time pay! Enough of my wah-wah-wah!

Cud is getting bigger and bigger every day with new tricks up his sleeve. I taught him how to make dinosaur and piggy sounds... but they all still come out the same..."ROAR"! Can't blame that on a broken see-n-say! I also taught him, actually watching Tough Enough on MTv taught him how to imitate a wrestler! He makes fists and roars at you!!

Just a side note for Mango and Voodoo... when it comes down to it all, you have to remember that your whole lifestyle adjusts and changes to fit the needs of your children. You know your limits and what energy it takes to handle kids, working, (school for some), and even the social life and romantic getaways for the two adults! It changes your life, but I like to think of it as an adjustment. It does become a little harder for the romantic nights and weekends, so make the most out your time together now! But don't count out the fun times you have with your own children (just train them not to be so wild, and you will enjoy!!)

Anyways, for GIMB in my tummy... well, as he grows and gets closer and closer to joining us, he kicks and turns a lot. Especially considering that all books say they are running out of space and will move less!! yeah right... this one is causing me all the discomfort I could imagine! kicking and punching and turning whenever I try to get comfortable or even just to rest and reload my energy level!

I'm wobbling more and more as I walk, and bending over to put on socks and shoes is just not an option anymore. In fact, Ms. Voodoo and Weekender, I think it's time for another pedicure session... maybe we'll just go get it done professionally and chat over the massage chairs!!!

Well, that is it from this family o' fun... Sorry to all the Raider fans, but you if you are going to show up to play Super Bowl.. you better come out a little better than that!!! No, excuses.. you just got beat by your old coach!!! I was rooting for you during the season, but I had to back up Gruden on this one!!! Hey, but I have to give props to fellow Pittsburg High Alumni, Regan Upshaw...(in the opening introductions he mentions P-Town!) REPRESENT!!!!
By the way, I won$10 in our little pool we had watching the game... thanks guys!! Congratulations to the Tampa Bay Bucs!!!

I almost forgot what it is like during the first week of new semester at school. Well here at Contra Costa College it was no different... students scrambling to add classes (students haven't quite gotten the whole telephone registration down) - but they can IM like it's no tomorrow--ooops sorry.. parking lots are full of people not paying attention to designated areas--- they should have one for "pregnannt wobbling staff"--- and something new this semester,,, budget costs and tuition fee increases!

Can you believe it... the cost to attend a community college will be going up to $24 a unit from $11!! Contra Costa College is already the mecca for the low-incme families of the area. Now, it will be even harder for students to educate themselves full-time, if they can even afford it! Well ,with that all said, teachers and faculty are encouraging students to apply for scholarships and other sources of financial aid... so that's where my busy day comes into play! I actually this one scholarship announcement out since last October...original deadline was December 15... only 5 people applied (3 were ineligible)! So, we extend the deadline for January 15th and make another announcement to all faculty...I have talked and helped over 30 applicants each day for the last 3 days! My head is spinning... I am not used to being so busy in the office!

I think GIMB has taken note of all the walking and working hard over this last week. Throughout the day, and especially on our ride home, he is kicking and moving more and more. And if I am not mistaken, this is when the baby is supposed to be running out of room and moving less... Oh no... not this Laxa!! If I wait long enough watching my stomach, I can actually see my stomach punch out or move like waves!!! it's my rendition of Aliens or Species!! I'm getting more and more excited and scared trying to figure out how I will be able to still look cute and having 2 infants hanging off each arm... I guess you can just picture a scene from animal planet of mama ape with her babies just "hanging on" as they move about!

Well, as for my CUD... he enjoyed watching the Warrior Game in the box suites daddy hooked us up with. Got tired by the end, and was out the whole ride home! Now, as he sees a basketball game on TV, he cheers like he was actually there! Then, last night his new thing was this: he climbed onto the couch (all by himself) and settled himself in one corner. Rested one arm on the ledge and just sat there chillin'... I felt like I should have offered him the remote and a can of beer or something! But there he was chilling w/ his mommy watching the recording of "Days of Our Lives"!!!

This sunday, I hope to make it out to the Pleasanton area to go by Babies R Us and find some cool stuff to put on a baby registry!!! I need to look for the tandum (sp?) duo-stroller for my boys!!! I want to be able to fix Cud's bed with proper blankets and pillows, cuz he is taking too much room in our bed! He even managed to pushed Brahma off to the side and take up 1/2 the bed himself!

Well, back to work.. lunch hour is over... it just took a long time for me to wobble to the cafeteria and back!!!

Now it's back to work!!! I can honestly say that I am quite happy to get out of the house on a regular basis. As fun as it was to stay home, I was suffering from "at home anxiety". I was literally finding ways to get out of the house that wouldn't make my CUD sick! Well, needless to say, I ended up at the mall....WINDOW SHOPPING!

This year was the first Christmas CUD was able to enjoy the holiday... He enjoyed receiving a pile of gifts, ripping the paper, and carrying the money! We even have a picture of him hugging one of his presents like it was a pillow, along with the "oooohhhh" and "aaaahhhhh". It was the sweetest thing I have experienced during the holidays.

It was pretty difficult to enjoy the Christmas holiday only because we went from Home to Monterey (spending Christmas Eve in a hotel room), Monterey for lunch and Sunnyvale for dinner, with the thought of Pacifica in the back of our minds. It was quite tiring by the time we got to Sunnyvale, and it didn't help much that the house is very small. But it is always nice to be around family during the holidays!

CUD is learning more and more of "Wiggles" dance moves... his key favorites are "Rock a bye your Bear", "Get Ready to Wiggle", and "Hot Potato". He really loves the music from our last show as well. He is definitely making his way up to Singkil Prince! Just like his dadda! Speaking of which... it's a fulfilling, "can't believe I'm a mom" feeling watching how attached your son gets to his dad. The moment Brahma walks through the door, no matter what time of day or night, and how sleepy he may be, CUD will always be at his side or at least right behind!! I find myself just looking at them at tell myself..."this is my family", and "I made this happen"....

Speaking of making things happen... GIMB is moving very much lately. My next check up is next week. Gotta check my glucose level which requires me to drink this weird carbonated liquid and then get the blood test taken. I seriously need to remember how many times I have been poked to maybe help in this "pregnancy prevention" after this baby is born! I can't stand needles!!!

Well, I have more work to tend to right now... actually it is coming down to crunch time because of my early leave for maternity... but it will be a hectic state! I HOPE
