Now you know something must be up when I am blogging two days in row!! Actually, everything is pretty slow at work. All the kiddies have finished finals and officially begun their winter recess. So it is very quiet on the office front. And here I am working hard to earn that hourly part-time paycheck!

Anyways, I think I will officially change GIMB 1 nickname on this blog to what others have been calling him...CUD. If you have seen my son's cheeks, you will know why. Then for the second child, I will refer to him as Git in Mah Belly for now! Sorry if this causes any confusion, but at this stage my own memory and mind is depleting! And because I am pregnant, things will just have to go my way!!!

On with the show... CUD got another fever last night. And everytime this happens I cannot help but want to carry him and make "owww-ie" go away. I tend to baby him more around this time, only because I know how awful it feels to have a fever and achy body. As much as you want to run around and play... it's just too much. But I think what he does is still play and laugh which is good, but it eventually catches up, and all he does is cry and want to be carried all over again!

And being 6 months pregnant and carrying a load of 25 pounds is not the easiest task! but you do what you gotta do to make it through the day without wanting to pull your hair out. But going back to this playing thing and milestones of CUD:

Brahma bought a plastic basketball hoop. Although Cud can't reach the hoop yet, he will cry out to let you know he wants you to carry him so he can "shoot" the ball. New trick: "dribble, dribble, shoot" and he throws his hand in the air. if he should be holding a ball it ends up falling down his back... so we'll have to work on that one!

Another trick: "Where's your nose"... He points to his nose, and sometimes picks it!!
"Blow A Kiss"... it sort of ends up being about 5 kisses not necessarily blown...just the hand patting his mouth, but you can hear the "mwwwaahh"!!

I am very proud of my "wiggles" watching son... you play music and he will dance...anytime, anywhere!!! too bad he won't be at the BRL party!!

okay.. Part II.. since the boss is out of the office!!!

My birthday... came and gone as well, but it was a fun night! I wanted to be able to celebrate with some friends, which can get pretty hard on a weeknite, since they are travelling through the rush hour traffic to get to the east bay. In accordance with our budget, I chose to eat at Claim Jumper. With a 1 year-old and a 6 month belly, celebrating any other way is damn impossible!

Anyways, the day was still lotsa fun. My co-workers in the office took me out to eat at a Mexican Restaurant in Hilltop. Not bad for a mall place! It was cool cuz I got to finally talk to them in a more social way. They are older than me, and have travelled to different places, so it was just interesting hearing about all their stories! What a great a way to feel younger on your birthday, too!

Unfortunately as the day went by, I also began to feel the fever and congestion build! What a birthday gift! But, I held it off just so I can eat....eat...eat!!
As we all began to meet up at Claim Jumpers I can feel myself just wanting to jump into my sweats and lay in bed, but at the same time I could just taste the juicy steak and baked potato!!! To my surprise, my two best friends showed up as well... all the way through the traffic from SF!! Thanks ladies!!

It was a fun night watching GIMB crumble the cornbread and throw it to the ground! Eating my steak which still looked like it was mooing, and having friends laugh the nite the way! Thank you all for sharing my birthday with me... Just wait til next year... cuz this momma is gonna party for her big 30!!!

be right back!!! til' next time!!

Wow.. it's has been a long break since I last wrote... HMMMMM...

Thanksgiving... because my hubby had to work the next day, we decided to stick to one family party... My dad's side! We don't see them very often, ever since my parents divorced, and my dad even had a falling out with his family that lasted for about 5 years or so, I grew apart from that side of my family. But ever since John and I got married and had GIMB, I knew it would be best to re-tie the family bond.

So, we took the long trek to Monterey, which lasted an extra hour because of freak traffic! It took us 3 hours to arrive to our final destination. But once we arrived, it was eating eating eating all day long!! I enjoyed watching my dad, grandpa, and uncles just go crazy over my little one. Now, do you believe me when I say I am surrounded by boys!!! It has been more than 15 years since my grandma past away, but it's still hard visiting that house. It's nice to see how they changed some of the old-fashioned stuff, but it still brings back that same feeling from when I was 4 years old having my grandma's special shrimp & ketchup recipe made just for me!! Okay, I was a wee bit spoiled when I was younger!

Anyways, our holiday came and gone, but the weekend was far from over. While others were making their way to the sales, I was at the apartment cleaning the apartment. With our combined piles of mail and junk on our dining table and the piles of toys from GIMB the apartment was not looking cute! All the while I was supposed to be packing for our short trip to LA! Instead I rush to get ready GIMB to his daddy's work, since it's a dead day. Then finish the apartment and give myself some time to get ready! Instead of packing and resting for our long trip, Brahma decides to make plans with Ninong Rock Star and Tin-tin to watch Die Another Day @ the 10:40pm!!

By the time we get home, GIMB falls asleep, and I finish packing, I supposedly only have 2 hours of sleep left before we make our down to LA-LA Land! We decided to take this trip as a favor to Ninang Skywalker for her dad's birthday party. The trip was long but we finally made it. Unfortunately it took a little longer because the rain started to fall in So Cal, and I guess drivers there just are used to it!!

Yes, I still had to dance... not exactly cute with a belly showing, but we pulled it off. GIMB had a great time dancing to "I'm a Slave for You" with all the other kids who made their own little party circle. In fact he walked across the hall by himself just to join them, and get his little groove on!!

The trek back home with everyone going home, was the longest I have ever experienced!! It took us almost 10 hours to finally reach the front door! Thank goodness Brahma was determined to get our TV/DVD combo to work for the trip home!

well, that is all i can write for now... next time I will update you on my birthday celebration and my latest check up with GIMB 2
