Well the event of his life so far has come and gone... Andres Jonathan aka Git in Mah Belly is now 1 year old. Looking back it really doesn't seem that long. I am glad that he doesn't look as bald as before during his first 4 months. In fact, there is actually some hair to cut. So, that is my plan for this friday on my day off: Take GIMB to get a haircut (then maybe people will stop asking if he is a boy or girl!)

The party was a last minute success. Being that we are a family on a budget, our original plan was to have a picnic. Unfortunately the weather was getting kinda questionable. So, two weeks before party time, we decided to ask Lola and Lolo if we could use their house to host the party. Thank goodness they said yes! It helped cuz GIMB already has clothes, diapers, bottles, and milk there which made packing his stuff non-existent. The rent was FREE!! and most importantly... TV's were on hand for all to gather to watch the Giants vs. Angels in Game 6 of the 2002 World Series!!! The only catch... the mood of our guests really changed after the upsetting Giants loss! But there was still a lot of food and drinks to be consumed as they watched and help recover!

That day GIMB was not feeling himself either. His cold/cough got worse that morning. So, with the big crowd and all the Tylenol he can handle, he was not the happiest camper at the party! At least there was lots of candy, food, cake, friends, and laughter. Although he may not remember this day... Brahma and I are happy to celebrate our son's birthday with family and friends. Even for a Take 2.. since most of my friends and family were not available that day! I'll fill you in later!

Thursday is Halloween, and we are planning to take our little "moo-moo" cow to the mall. Walk around, return some clothes that are two small... at 12mos he is wearing size 18-24mos! I think it's that cute little belly!

Well in terms of GIMB-2 he/she is starting to show... not the best thing for me right now cuz we have 1 more show to perform in Stockton. I have to fit in my costumes!!!
I may have said this before, but energy level is back and nausea is gone. But if only I can my husband to be affectionate and romantic again, especially before my belly gets too big that I can't even hug him all the way!

We will find out the sex of the baby in 2 weeks... the way my belly is forming I think I may have another boy. Although my mom said she had dreams about girls clothes, and seeing my dad carrying a baby girl! Hopefully, her instincts are still correct!! I am starting to really feel a lot of pain in my hip area... not quite sure if it's related to the pregnancy or not. One thing is for sure... I could use some maternity clothes... just having my clothes above my belly is much more comfortable than dealing with pants that just sit on top it... Ohhh, when you have kids, you will understand...

Gotta grab some lunch before I get really hungry!

The past week has been one to put in the books. I said before that was my first week at my new job. So it took a little adjusting in terms of actually waking up by certain time in the morning in order to get ready, get GIMB up and to Lola's house, and off to work. And getting ready now means actually fixing my hair and make-up, and really thinking about what I am going to wear!

On top of all that... GIMB decides to have a fever, which finally has gone down, but has now turned to a terrible cough and cold. He can look cute, even with the dried up snot all over his nose! With all those factors, it was quite close to impossible to get a decent night's rest. Especially when you are the one who wakes up to take the temperature, get the medicine, and the bottle, and still try and sleep with two little legs kicking and moving everywhere (and the occasional butt in my face has happened, too)!!

Well, hopefully this will end soon and we will be back to something close to normal.

I did take GIMB out for brunch with the "girls" on sunday. I think he enjoyed the male companionship of uncle mango most of all. They both seem to understand each other very well, and have quite a lot in common! Afterwards, I took GIMB to Picture People and had his birthday/Halloween pictures taken. Thanks to ninang voodoo for the Harvard shirt, which provided one of the cutest pictures!! And to ninang mur for the cow costume which provided the infamous "the cow jumped over the moon" pictures!! Although he was quite cranky for the latter part of the picture session, we were able to capture some "golden" moments.

THIS GIRLFRIEND's GUIDE to PREGNANCY
Finally, passed the "i have to throw up everything" stage. Now, I am at the "I am starting to bulge out, and don't have any clothes left to fit me" stage. I am still a little too small for maternity clothes, and too big for my regular stretch clothes. Books say to look in your man's closet, but I still prefer the option of feeling feminine! It's bad enough that I feel all big and ugly, don't need to look it! I want some "cute" clothes!!!

In terms of food in general... I cannot eat red meat... And if you know me, you know that this is really unusual!!! Especially if all I am craving is chicken and seafood... I hate chicken breast, so ordering chicken at a restaurant is hard. But I could always go for the sweet stuff like candy, ICEE's, and the strawberry parfait at KFC!!!

Next month I will have my first official sonogram of the baby. We will be finding out the sex of the baby. I am personally not one for surprises! Would you wait?
Well, I'll let you know how it goes.

I like the new look of my blog page... and i say "mine", cuz i seriously doubt that brahma bull will be adding anything to this!!!

Anyways, lots has happened to me personally... Went from employed, unemployed, and back to employed, but not receiving the paycheck until a month later! All in all they were all blessings in disguise. With the little one to be making way in this world, it became crunch time to find a new job. The old job was...well, getting OLD! Our funder was starting to get on my nerves because they were always saying one thing, and then doing another completely opposite of what they told us [contractor]. I was ready to leave!!! So, there i was sending out endless resumes and applications to various schools, school districts, organizations...each sending a "thank you for applying, but..." back to me. It was getting quite depressing.

Then a little angel forwarded a message looking for a part-time employee to work on scholarships...sent in my resume (last minute), went to an interview, checked my email for updates, and VOILA!!! Congratulations to me! I started my new position as Scholarship Specialist at Contra Costa College! Still not full-time, but the pay is much better, and it is more in tune with all my experience and career goals. The people I work with are great. The office is nice and well stocked. This is the first non-filipino/asian place i have worked for since my days at the Disney Store! Well, it's a job, but it is a job in a school that pays once a month... so, you can imagine the struggle we must endure for now, especially with Git In Mah Belly's 1st Birthday coming up!

Well as for GIMB, himself... he is still the cutest in the world. Not quite taking the steps on his own, but will take any opportunity to walk around with you! The best part of my day, is picking him up from lola's house and receiving the biggest, wet kiss my baby can give, and only for MAMA! Working in the morning at 10 still gives me a little time to see brahma off to work, and watch a little of Sesame Street with GIMB. For the past two nights he has only waken up once in the night, but actually in the morning at 6 - 6:30am! Hopefully, this continues!

Okay, gotta get back to work....REALLY!! NO more chatting for me on AIM, either, unless I end up at work all by myself!

testing....
