Wow... it has been exactly 2 months since I last updated my blog!!! Sorry for the long delay folks, things were actually progressing kinda slowly with the Baby Update. But now that I look at it, there is so much to catch up on!
BABY UPDATE:
He walking...with a little help from grown-up or other types of furniture that can hold his weight. Everyone says by the looks of it, he will be walking on his own very soon.
He now has 4 teeth. 2 on the bottom (which are crooked), and 2 on the top (with a small gap between them). OK, so we are not quite hitting the perfect smile, but you will all agree that he is still cute!!! No, I don't have to worry about braces yet... c'mon now, it's just baby teeth! Luckily he never got attached to a pacifier to make his teeth worse... However, he does like to put anything and everything he finds in his mouth.
He is a lot more talkative now. He says "BA" when he wants to play with the ball or any other toy or toy-like thing around. And of course the normal "ma ma", "da da", "na na"...and some other gurgley sounds. I am trying to teach him some tricks, too! He knows how to play pick-a-boo with a blanket. He thrusts his forehead forward when you ask him to "bless". Occasionally he will throw that kiss good-bye!
He received a box of baby lego from his christening. He ends up climbing into box and kicking the legos around. We believe he thinks he is the pool of balls at "The Jungle"! His Lolo and Lola bought a brand new Honda Odyssey just to fit him, with a brand new car seat. Which by the way, is facing forward. This is actually a big thing because they do not recommend this until a baby is 1 year old even if they meet the weight limit which is 22 lbs. Okay, so he is 25 lbs! But the CHP officer noticed how sturdy he was, and actually shocked to learn that he was only 10 1/2 months at the time.
Well, those are the major milestones we have come to witness. Now, this blog will also be taking a little twist from here on out. The Laxa Family o'fun will be adding one more to the clan! We are expecting another baby on April 2, 2002!
Okay, yes it's soon, so to all you kiddies out there.. It only takes once! So, don't get this wrong idea that we are "like rabbits". I'll be yet another mother to vouch that a baby, especially one who sleeps in the same bed, can be a sex drive killer!!
So back to the new baby (still trying to figure out a "voodoo" nickname"), will be another segment of this blog, as I take you through my wonderful world of pregnancy! Today we actually got to see him/her for the first time! Moving a lot, just like Git in Mah Belly did. Next sonogram will be in Nov, when we will be able to find out the gender of #2!
