ALLEGORY OF LOVE
last week i had the opportunity of connecting with a complete stranger. i won't get into the gnarly details of it, but it really opened my eyes to things.

right now, love feels like a big mansion... that i'm lost in. just when i figure out where everything is, i open a door and a whole other section opens up. places i've never been. doors i have never opened.

as intimidating & disheartening it sometimes is, i can't help but become invigorated with life. to connect with someone is always a cool thing, but this individual really could understand my complex rambling ass.

i found that interesting to say the least. what it did was help me see yet another pathway to venture onto on this superhighway called love.

not that i think i know everything, but i think i'm just finding out more about myself.

TWO SEVENTY-FIVE DOWN THE DRAIN

what i think about having to pay for parking at school...

this is the second permit i've had to buy this year due to shitty weather. i refuse to buy a parking permit because i don't believe in paying for parking when i only live 2 miles away from school.

i am not walking in the rain though. fuck that.

i guess it could be worse. i had to pay for a permit when i was WORKING at davis. that's even worse. at the very least staff should have at least a discount.

double u - tee - eff, man...

SUCKER FOR MARKETING

i find myself drawn to cool looking water bottles.

yeh, i know it's exactly what the marketing gurus at the respective water companies want me to do, but i can't help but drink my water out of nice looking bottles. it started back in davis when i first saw those dark blue ice age water bottles. i thought those were pretty tight since my favorite color was blue at the time.

now i'm feelin' the smart bottle water with the cute dryness meter on the side, implying that if you drink more water, you will be smarter.

if you are already drinking water, you are already smart. funny how sometimes we give more credit to things that we should be doing anyway.

one thing the marketeers don't know about CB is that i reuse my bottles for at least a few weeks. people think i bring new bottles of water to work all the time.

nope. same one.

i am not tryin to pay buck fiddy every time for a liter of water. nice bottle or not, it goes against my principles. i think we live in a sad world where water is more expensive than soda. that's fuckin wack. have u ever noticed that at vending machines water is the same price as the sodas, (20 oz) but if you go to the grocery store, the soda is the same price but the water is cheaper. hmmm

TRANSLATION

chinese for: cultural exploitation.

far from "yummy", i tend to get stomach aches versus satifsaction when i USED to eat at panda express. they've come up since back in the day, but i dunno if that's a good thing. oh well, as long as i don't eat there anymore.

sometimes it's hard to resist a good bargain, but memories of the cramps keep me in check.

ps. "panda express" is total english, you whimsical advertisers.

pss. i shouldn't take pics while i drive.

QUEASY
weird things have been happening lately. first of all, my stomach's been acting up lika a mu'fucka. i cut down on cheese and dairy, but it still effects me. i took lactaid and my stomach is still churnin'

maybe i should make an appointment at kaiser. fuckin copays are no joke. emergency room cost me a benji when i got hit in the eye and i had this blob in my vision for a day.

i was not happy when i got the bill.

also been getting weird text messages from people who i normally wouldn't get texts from. that in itself is not weird, but moreso the content which bugs me out.

i'm afraid to share.

been in the studio workin like mad. copped a remix for rj's track off limits. i think it's one of the best ones i've done to date. i guess cuz i took the time to develop it instead of how i just vomit ideas onto reason and leave them to fester until i get more creative another time.

i think i was influenced by the fact that his cd sounds good, except for the beats i gave him. one reason is because the engineer didn't mix them down as well as the others. i wasn't there to do so. (that kinda ticked me off, but thats another blog). another reason is because rj and i collaborated on those songs almost a good year and a half ago. i've changed my style up tremendously since then. so now i have the opportunity to remix and revisit the cuts.

i will not disappoint.

i wish i could share them but i don't know an easy way to go from minidisc to mp3 without having to invoke protools. call me lazy but i just don't have the time.

oh and i decided to do remixes of all the songs that i have acapellas for on vinyl. who says i can't work with nas, or jay-z or gangstarr. when i worked on rj's song, i tested it out with the acapella to nas' "made u look." i got the idea then that i could do my own remix album, a la ninth wonder.

need to pay bills! fuck copywriting. power to the people.

DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE...
created by the critics that is... matrix revolutions is good. i would recommend watching it. pretty good action and stuff. philosophically a little lacking but nonetheless satisfying to see the whole matrix trilogy play out.
