ASTRO BOY
Isn't he the cutest? Tezuka The Marvel of Manga is at the Asian Art Museum until Septemeber 9, 2007. Not until Awsome took me to this exhibit did I understand Manga and what it's all about. Well, I have to admit, i'm still learning about manga (Japanese comics). But after reading about all the different characters that Tezuka had created, I think this may have just really set off my interest in reading. If you plan on going, I would really suggest you set aside maybe 2 hours for this exhibit. I really got into reading about the characters, and finding out which character I would really love to read about, and all the different illustrations. Just to warn you, some of the illustrations can be pretty graphic.
As for parking, you can park in the Civic Center garage. We took BART in and catched a muni bus to Civic Center. Totally loved commuting in. Makes everything so much easier, and you really get to appreciate the city from a different perspective.
