Ugh!!! This sucks! I wrote a blog of our PI trip and I can't retrieve it from it being a draft! I must say..this sucks big doo doo.... But since our trip was back in December, it's pretty old by now. But I guess I'll just give you guys the summarized version of it.
We had planned our trip to start in Cebu, but first we had a stop over in Guam for about 45 minutes to gas up, then we stopped in Manila for about 3 hours and then finally arrived in Cebu and checked into our hotel which roughly came out to 24 hours of traveling from point A to point B!!!! We stayed at Plantation Bay on Cebu and luckily I had requested personal shuttle service so we rode in a BMW X5 w/ the AC blasting and my mom and brother rode in a seperate car as well. They be lovin AC over here...I had to ask the driver to turn it down a bit. They drove us right to our room which was great!!! Avoided the whole check-in procedure at the front desk and had our luggage wheeled to our room. Can you tell i'm lovin this whole experience already!!!! We arrived on a Thursday so we pretty much had the resort to ourselves. Our friends weren't arriving for another day or two for the wedding.
So what did we do our first night...RELAX!!!! It was great! Had a nice cocktail at the bar and some fresh roasted garlic peanuts!!!! YUM!!! Unfortunately the next day rained all day!!! We decided to take advantage of their hot tubs at their spa...which was outside!!! What an experience....chillin in a hot tub w/ rain pouring on you... pretty fun!!! That evening we hit up the local casino and yes I ended up gambling...but remember the currency is pesos...so it wasn't too bad.... Gambled about 20 bucks.....
After a couple more days, we finally headed back to Metro Manila where we stayed at the Holiday Inn Galleria in Pasig City. I would have to say that I'd stay here again!!!! It was totally central to ALL THE MALLS and it was connected to a mall itself which was very convenient!!! We had a grocery store, pharamcy, dry cleaners where we had our clothes washed, internet cafes and the list goes on and on.....
I would definitely go back again!!! The customer service is utmost 100%!!!! And they're overall friendliness and hospitality is a total given!!!! We were so spoiled over there!!! For those who aren't into Filipino food they have all sorts!!!! We ate at TGIF our last day....was craving some American Food!!! Oh and if you're ever thinking of having a wedding over there....I swear..you'll totally feel like a celebrity!!!! hahahhaha... We went to two weddings and both had like 3-5 photographers and 3-5 videographers and their "assistants." BIG PRODUCTION! |
