A day in the life of a musician and his art.

I sense something, a presence I've not felt since....

Yeah, it's been a while.

Semester is almost semi-over. I got an incomplete from one class and will turn in some papers in a week or so for hopefully an A. I'm hoping for a passing grade in my other iffy class, which would give me mostly As, with 2 Bs and a C. Not so bad.

I was asked to be in charge of music for the Revival Arts production of Philippine playwright Nick Joaquin's play, "Tatarin". I was also selected as one of 7 men to take part in Kulintang Arts new project, SONS, which is about the being a Filipino man in America. Unfortunately, the two projects had a conflict, and I was given an ultimatum. Because I had confirmed my availability for Tatarin, I unfortunately had to back out of SONS. It sucked, but I gave my word and am standing by it.

Anyway, January will be full of rehearsals in Hayward. The show takes place on Jan 20-22 and 27-29, at CSUH. More info can be found at http://www.revivalarts.org

So yeah, from what was described tonight about “Tatarin” this sounds like a good production that ultimately may surprise the audience. Now if the Bay Area community were able to join in the fun, something interesting may present itself. Break a leg.
