Tis the season, you know. For hen's night/ bachelorette parties etc. We call it hen's night in Singapore. Hen's night and stag's night. Kinda funny when you think about it. I always imagine a hen and a stag at the altar taking the vows.
Anyway, it seems everyone is getting married left right and center. One girl I know is having her bachelorette party in Tokyo. I'm told that it's not impossible to catch a Thursday night flight to Tokyo and a Sunday one back to San Francisco. We'll be in Roppongi and Nishi- azubu for a weekend of sake and sapporo. It'll after all be spring break when we go. Hopefully no one will show up to work with a hangover, and there will be no DUIs since we will be travelling by bus, train and plane.
Another girl I know has hers organized at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore. Tres chic. No wild nights. Rather it will be celebrated in Town and Country style. Marrying into money. Lucky her. So we are all invited to bring our Queen Anne hats and gloves and british clipped accents to the table as we dine on little bitty Martha Stewart pastries.
I get to decide which one to go Am not spending $1500 on airplane tickets for both. Looking online last night, I found cheap cheap tickets to New York though. Somehow that seems much more enticing than spending the weekend answering inquisitive questions from folks from long before about my love life.
