The last 2.5 years that I've lived here, I've watched little to no TV. Even though my old place had 3 tvs, I barely got enough box time. One tv was in my roommate's room, the other was in the living room we shared and the last was in my room which got no reception.
That's not to say I'm a tv junkie. I generally don't like to watch tv all day and night. But I need like a 1 hour dosage every 2-3 days. Living at my old place, I rationed it to watching the only think worthwhile- Law and Order. I even had to cut out baseball, because it would take too long and my roommate would sort of huff and puff about it since I had to watch it in the living room. She on the other hand would watch all the reality tv shows that existed out there. Now if there's one thing I have no patience for, its reality tv. Really, how real are your chances of being thrown out to sea with a bunch of over-educated morons? Or marrying a guy you went on tv to meet?
But last night... last night was great. I could channel surf between Law and Order and the Red Sox game; I watched infomercials and the food channel. I watched the ending of "As good as it gets" and bawled my eyes out when Jack Nicholson says to Helen Hunt that he "gets it". (I've got a blog inspired by that coming up). And all i had to do was lay on my couch and move my fingers up and down the remote.
So lovely... just too lovely.
