Labor Day Weekend Thoughts

Christmas Shopping
Always good to pick up those cheapy sale items during labor day sales, even though I didn't go to any. But I did think about what I'd like (yes, it's all about me!) For christmas this year, i'd like the entire collection of Ally McBeal and Sex and the City DVDs. That way I won't have to pay for therapy at $75 a pop. And I can have ice cream while I'm at it.
And I still want those damn sexy black boots that I've been wishing for the past 5 years but never got around to buying it

Without a man
Kinda weird feeling. 3 day weekends are when you're supposed to take off to the country with some significant other. Didn't go away, just stayed in the bay area. Packed mostly cos I'm moving this saturday.

The Outdoors
I did get my time in the outdoors however. Went sailing on Friday night. The wind was fantastic and all three of us in the boat had to hike out to keep the boat balanced. Very good exercise for the abs. Your feet hooked beneath a strap in the cockpit while the rest of your body hangs outside the boat. My abs hurt on Saturday as testimony to that. The next day took off to Mt Tam. Drove up to the peak and hiked down to Muir Woods then back up to the peak again. Was so pretty. Got there before 9am. The fog hadn't lifted and no one was around yet. You could barely see beyond 20 feet cos of the fog. It was so serene and peaceful; reminded me of some enchanted forest and was thinking about elves and pixies as I hiked down. Have some really pretty pictures as a result.

What a laugh... and a really good laugh. That's about all I have to say in case people want to watch the movie
