The last Friday of the month and there's all these parties to go..well there's always parties to go to right? But if you just wanna chill, bar hop, listen to some good music, or get a good ass CHEAP drink, Julip is the spot. Where is this wonderful place? It's located at 839 Geary St. and I think the cross streets are Polk and Larkin. Yes! Near the tenderloin and the HOOKERS! Yes, I am always amazed when I see these girls or boys on the streets. Totally trips me out. Anyways..that's another story.

So back to Julip. Awsome, myself, Cosmonaut, Atlas, Ms. Tomei, Diva and Jokes had met up in Burlingame for Deks 29th b-day. But unfortunately, when they came out to meet me, there weren't any pool tables left, there weren't any more seats in the patio, drinks are expensive, so we headed out to the city. Diva's friend was spinning at Julip and he promised that the drinks they serve at Julip are CHEAP and STRONG!!! Hey...that's all i gotta hear..well that and good music of course, you know me. We head out there and as we walk in...they're playin some old school Michael Jackson!!!! Well I think that's what they were playin??? YES!! I'm lovin it already..

This place is pretty small, no coat check and I mention that cause it gets kinda warm in here, patio lookin tables w/folding chairs and 3 live trees...i think???... yes..i said TREES!! Nice feel to it huh??? As if you're outdoors but not...And then what I thought was pretty trippy was that over the bar, there were these toilet lookin things. And Atlas had asked me.." are those them bidet's, you know them things that wash your butt" Well, who would know would be the bartender right?? So I bugged him..not like he was hella busy or anything. They're antique street lamps..How neat is that! The bartender told me that Julip used to be an old antique shop and the owner wanted to use some of the stuff they had still lingering around.

As far as the drinks..they sure were cheap! I had ordered a sky tonic, red sangria and a club soda and it came out to 8 BUCKS!!! Now you know at some trendy bar/club that would have cost me a woppin 15 bucks! So of course I got my buzz on pretty fast, not like I was already tipsy from Steelhead already. So if you're in the neighborhood, stop by, no cover, cheap drinks, and good music. What can you ask for?
