['I woke up early and there's no one in the mall' thoughts]

The SFSU University Chorus sang a concert last night at St. Thomas More church near SFSU. The church is a huge church where voices ring and ring almost forever. The concert was fantastic. In October, I didn't know if this choir was going to sound any good, but last night was the culmination of a semester's hard work. And it paid off too! We sang an African American spiritual "Aint-a-that Good News!" and in the rehearsal I actually whooped and hollered afterward, amusing everyone in the choir. Hey, I can't help it. Sometimes, the spirit just moves ya! I actually introduced myself to this girl in chorus. She was sorta just sitting by herself so I decided to work on the MAC skills. She didn't seem like she wanted to talk but then I started asking about Socal compared to Norcal and she started talking a bit more. If you don't practice every once in a while you lose it!

I woke up early today [well, early for me, that is]. My alarm went off at 730 and finally got out of bed at 8. The good thing about working close to home is that you can stay in bed till the last possible minute before jumping out to get ready. Since I'm at Serramonte, which is only 7 minutes away, that means I can stay in bed till 810, possibly 815. Anyway, I'm here at Serramonte until 5, then I have a dress rehearsal for my concert tomorrow. I figure most of you all who read this won't go, so I'll have the commentary about the concert for you on Saturday.
