I saw my first girlfriend last night. We broke up in 1995, a total high school relationship thing. Funny thing is, my last relationship [circa 2000-2001] didn't seem all that much different. Both didn't want to have a BF but ended up having one. *Signal 1* that the relationship probably wasn't going to last!

Anyway, my point is:
So what is it with my X-Girlfriends loving my mom or something? I guess she's like the "motherly figure/big sister they never had" to them. It's so funny that they could absolutely talk with my mom and my dad for like two hours but have nothing to say to me. Am I a little more mature because I try to start a friendly conversation that ends up going only one way?

The scary thing is that there were a enough similarities between the two of them to make me think, "Am I falling into that trap where I only end up getting with same kind of girl?" Sort of like a milder case of the girl who keeps hooking up with alcoholics or the guy who always gets with a girl that's just a gold-digger. Except mine just toy with my heart for awhile and then leave?
