After months of anticipation awaiting the return of the Brahma Bull, it can be said... Finally, the Dad.. Has come back to the Baby Blog. What up ya'll? From the dad's perspective comes the most electrifying Blog in internet entertainment. And now the millions...AND millions of the Dad's fan's can see exactly what the dad has been up to. Well, after plenty of months have passed, my goal of losing weight is becoming a reality. Since the Cover Brothas have been working out four days a week (to mom's dismay), dad has burned away lbs. of fat and turned it into the muscles that used to be there before his days with mommy. I still can't stay away from the occassional Krispy Kreme or double cheese burger, but I can say that fried okra from Church's fried chicken have not touched these lips. (I'll go there when I get off work today!) Unfortunately, working out has taken a lot of time away from mommy and baby but with a big show in a couple of months coming, I can't show up like I did in PI, huffing and puffing with my gut hangin' out. Anyways, I got a lotta buddies who had kids and threw the diet out the window, all the while people made comments so I'm not going out like that. I see it as a way to prepare myself for the years to come. Our baby is gonna be a big and active baby boy so be in shape. I originally wanted to get in shape because I got tired just carrying him and that was a joke. Then it got heavy carrying the carseat and that was crazy. Now I'm getting close to super dad so that's more like it.
We took our little family to the mall yesterday and in my excitement I bought the family some new Nikes. All three of us now how our shoes for when we go to Disneyland in LA in May. Running Nike Shox for everyone! I couldn't get my eyes off of them so they are now going to be on our feet. Even the baby ones which are a couple sizes bigger are tight! Wait till he gets his outfit. The wife will look cute as ever in her new kicks too. They should be really comfortable. Too bad they don't go "Boing!"
A lot has gone on in the past months but the goals have remained the same: watch the family grow, make sure we have our roof over our heads, don't eat food in the Matrix! If you're looking to buy a new car, this can fit almost all of your needs. I don't feel like a mini-van daddy. Mommy can sport her new sunglasses. Baby has plenty of room in the back and the seats have been perma plated so any spills just wipe right off like a kitchen counter. Six disc in-dash CD changer with 6 speakers, newly tinted windows, and a speedy 130 HP engine round out how cool this car is. I won't turn it into a rice rocket but 18's are surely on the way. This car has fit our family to a T. If only the damn cats would stay off the hood it would be all good.
We'll be heading to Vegas at the end of the month staying at the "Red Dragon", I mean Imperial Palace. That's the one in Rush Hour II. It has a two-story waterfall in the swimming pool so I knew the wife would like that. No nudie bars this time which is cool. Those things get expensive anyways. The two of us shoud be able to enjoy our anniversary and time alone from everything. Although I know we'll miss the baby! We can barely stay away for a whole day and now we're gonna try three days and two nights? Good luck. This is a much needed vacation for all of us and we're gonna make the most of it. Hopefully we'll come back with heavier wallets.
So the baby's the best. I couldn't compliment him more than I do. Not much crying but he makes it simple when he does. Either "feed me" or "let's move around the place while you carry me" is the cry. The best thing is that he can go to anyone. You know those kids that cry as soon as you hand them off to someone? Not this one. And he'll dig his head into your chest. (I got some of your aunties you'll probably want to meet son.) And all the expressions on his face make you melt. The best is his "I can stand on my own two feet" open mouth, tongue hanging smile he has. I want him to walk asap. I think babies that do that baby walk is the best. You think they're gonna fall but they balance themselves and are on their way. He'll get there soon enough.
